The Ambia is a 540 mm table lamp with an adjustable head, finished in brass matt, in five colours including three pastels — black, white, and blue, green and pink.

Pastels are the reason this exists

Blue, green and pink at this size are for bedrooms, nurseries and dressing tables where a black metal lamp would be too severe. They are soft colours, not primary ones — closer to a ceramic glaze than to a painted finish.

The head tilts, so it is useful as well as pretty

The shade angles, which means it can point down at a book on a bedside or up at a wall for ambient light. Most decorative lamps this size are fixed.

E14, not E27 — check before you buy globes

It takes a small-Edison-screw E14 globe, up to 25 W, not the more common E27. They are not interchangeable, and it is the single most common mistake with a lamp this size. Globes are not supplied.

Specifying it

540 mm tall, brass matt finish, adjustable head. One E14 globe to 25 W, not supplied. 240 V, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is one year, shorter than the three years most of the Telbix range carries.

Supplied and supported by Lights For You. If you want the same shape with a USB charging port, the Ambia USB version adds one — and carries a two-year warranty.

Questions
What globe does it take?

An E14 small Edison screw, up to 25 W — not the more common E27. They are not interchangeable. Globes are not supplied.

What colours are available?

Five: black, white, and pastel blue, green and pink.

Does the head move?

Yes, it tilts — you can aim it down at a book or up at a wall.

Is there a touch switch?

No. An earlier version of this page said there was one-touch operation; neither of our sources supports that.

How tall is it?

540 mm.

Is there a version with a USB port?

Yes — the Ambia USB, which also carries a longer two-year warranty.

What is the warranty?

One year — shorter than most of the Telbix catalogue.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.

Your Options

  • Restocking fee: 20% will apply unless otherwise stated, or unless another order of equal or greater value is placed in lieu of this re-stocking fee.
  • Credit: will be issued in the form of store credit and will be equal to the price paid.
