LoginTell us the voltage and the total load, and we will size the driver for you.
It is printed on the strip or fitting, and on its spec sheet. Getting this wrong is the one thing that will stop the light working, so pick “Not sure” rather than guess.
Add up the wattage of everything on this driver. For LED strip, multiply the watts per metre by the number of metres — 9.6W/m over 5m is 48W.
The driver, not the light. A driver mounted outside, in a garden bed or anywhere it can get wet needs a weatherproof rating.
A driver has to be dimmable itself — a dimmer on a non-dimmable driver flickers, buzzes, or damages it.
