Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

  • Made to Order (incl. custom cut profiles & LED strips)
  • Lamp shades
  • T4 fluorescent tubes
  • Gift cards

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.

Your Options

  • Restocking fee: 20% will apply unless otherwise stated, or unless another order of equal or greater value is placed in lieu of this re-stocking fee.
  • Credit: will be issued in the form of store credit and will be equal to the price paid. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance

The following items are excluded from orders cancellation prior to dispatch:

All returns, damaged, missing items or order cancellations must be notified by a clear statement (for example, a letter sent by mail or e-mail) within stated time.

Liability

We exclude, and are not liable for, all liabilities, losses, damages, expenses and costs of any kind (including without limitation any indirect and consequential losses, such as commercial or economic loss of any kind, and/or expenses incurred for installation services) as a result of or in connection with your access and/or use of our website, and/or any of our acts or omissions (including negligence). Governing Law Any argument relating to the terms and conditions between Lights For You and the customer shall be governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
