LRF-G125 Retro Vintage Filament Globe

The Domus LRF-G125 is a 3.5 W LED filament globe in a Ø125 mm sphere, 1800 K amber, dimmable, on either a B22 bayonet or E27 screw base.

What 120 lumens means in practice

• ⛔ This will not light a room, and nothing about the size suggests otherwise once you know the number. 120 lm from a globe this large is a very low surface brightness — which is exactly why you can look straight at it.
• ✅ That low brightness is the design. A bright globe of this size would be unbearable at eye level over a table; this one glows.
• 1800 K — deep amber, warmer than halogen, the colour of a filament running low.
• 360°, so it reads evenly from every angle. In a bare-cord installation that matters — there is no shade to hide a dark side.

Where a big sphere works and where it does not

• ✅ Hung bare on a cord, singly over a table or in a cluster at staggered heights. The sphere is the fitting.
• ✅ In open frame or cage pendants designed to show the globe.
• ✅ Over a bar, a stairwell void, or a double-height space where its size reads correctly.
• ⛔ Not inside a shade. At Ø125 mm it will not fit most, and hiding it defeats the purpose entirely.
• ⚠ Not in a small room. A grapefruit-sized amber sphere at eye level dominates; give it height and space.
• ⚠ Check the drop. 164 mm below the holder is more than people expect when setting cord lengths.

Dimming

Dimmable, and worth it — dimmed, a 1800 K sphere becomes genuinely candle-like.

• ⚠ 3.5 W is a very small load. A single globe will often sit below a trailing-edge dimmer's minimum, which shows as flicker or a dimmer with no useful bottom end.
• ✅ A cluster of four or more on one circuit usually behaves. Tell us the count and the dimmer and we will say before you buy both.

⚠ Two range-specific figures

• 15,000 hours, not the 50,000 an ordinary LED gives — normal for a filament LED, whose small chips run hard inside sealed glass. At three hours a night that is around thirteen years.
• Two-year warranty, where most of this catalogue is three and the GT exterior range is one.
