316 Stainless Steel Fixed Down LED Wall Light

This is the fixed-down Tivah in 316 marine-grade stainless steel: the beam points down and does not adjust, which is exactly what you want on a pillar cap or a boundary wall where an aimable head would eventually get knocked out of alignment or throw glare across a fence. 316 is the stainless grade specified for salt exposure, and the IP65 rating means the fitting takes direct rain rather than needing an eave over it. The important call at the cart is the part number, because the three codes split across two voltages.

The choice to make

HV1105T and HV1107GU10T are 240 V GU10 fittings and wire straight to mains — no driver. HV1107MR16T is 12 V DC with an MR16 lamp and requires a 12 V DC LED driver; it must never be connected directly to 240 V power. Outputs follow the platform: HV1105T runs 200–560 lm at 3000K, 255–595 lm at 4000K and 270–630 lm at 5500K depending on the 3/5/7 W GU10 fitted; HV1107GU10T and HV1107MR16T both give 270 lm at 3000K, 285 lm at 4000K and 300 lm at 5500K on 5 W lamps. Beam choices are 60° and 120°.

Where it works

• Driveway and gateway pillars, throwing a controlled pool onto the paving below.
• Coastal and beachside frontages where 316 stainless is the correct specification.
• Boundary and retaining walls, lighting the ground without spilling over the fence line.
• Exposed alfresco walls and pool surrounds that see direct rain and hosing.

Specifying it

The 12 V MR16 variant must be installed no more than 25 m from its driver. That is a warranty limit — past 25 m the voltage drop over the cable run reduces output and shortens lamp life. The lamp is replaceable on all three variants and the base must match the code you bought; GU10 and MR16 lamps do not interchange. The GU10 socket accepts a maximum of 35 W. The GU10 versions require an earth. It is not dimmable with the supplied globes.
