The 7 W Nella is the compact member of Havit's tri-colour surface mounted family — the fitting to use when you want even, wide-spread light from a body that does not dominate the ceiling. This listing covers both the white and black finishes.
Its defining characteristic is the 120° beam. Through an aluminium body with a glass diffuser, that spreads light broadly rather than concentrating it, so a small number of fittings can light a bedroom, hallway or landing evenly without the scalloped pools a narrow-beam downlight produces. It is a softer, more general light than the five-colour Nella bodies, which run a 60° beam.
Output does not simply climb with colour temperature — it peaks in the middle: 525 lm at 3000K, 560 lm at 4000K and 540 lm at 5500K. The 4000K setting is the brightest of the three, and 5500K gives slightly less light than 4000K rather than more. If you are after maximum output from this fitting, 4000K is the setting to choose. All three live in every unit and are selected during installation, so one product code can serve a warm bedroom and a cool laundry in the same order. Colour rendering is CRI >80.
Havit specifies this fitting as aluminium with a glass diffuser, which is what separates the tri-colour Nella generation from the newer five-colour bodies running a plastic diffuser. Glass keeps its clarity instead of yellowing under sustained heat, and it can be wiped clean without scratching — worth having in a bathroom or a kitchen where the fitting gets washed rather than dusted. The trade-off is impact resistance: Havit publishes an IK08 rating for the plastic-diffused models and none for this one, so it is not the fitting for a garage, a workshop, or a ceiling within reach of a swung object.
Fittings are wired in parallel rather than in series, which matters on a run: each fitting sits across the same supply independently, so one failing unit does not take the rest of the circuit with it, and adding fittings later does not change the voltage reaching the existing ones.
There is no cutout. The Nella fixes to a shallow mounting base against the ceiling surface, which is what makes it a solution for concrete slabs, rendered ceilings and timber linings, and for renovations where getting above the ceiling is impractical.
It runs on 240 V AC, wired directly to mains with no driver required, and fittings are wired in parallel along a run. Dimming is Triac. The IP54 rating covers dust and splashing water from any direction, which suits bathroom ceilings and covered outdoor areas such as eaves, but not immersion or pressure washing.
On warranty: Havit's current entitlement on this fitting is 3 years replacement. Older printed documentation for the model shows a shorter term, which is superseded — Lights For You applies the 3 year entitlement.
If you need the same light with a longer body, the extended version of this fitting is listed separately at Lights For You; the light engine is identical and only the housing depth changes.
Both white and black. HV5802T-WHT and HV5802T-BLK are the two variants, and both produce identical output — the finish is a styling choice rather than a performance one.
525 lm at 3000K, 560 lm at 4000K and 540 lm at 5500K. The brightest setting is the middle one — 4000K — not the coolest. It is a common assumption that a cooler LED is always a brighter one, and on this fitting that is not the case.
A wide beam spreads light evenly across a space instead of producing distinct pools beneath each fitting. That suits bedrooms, hallways and landings, where uniform light matters more than accent. For task lighting over a bench, a narrower beam places light more deliberately.
No — it is surface mounted. The fitting fixes to a mounting base against the ceiling, so no hole is cut and no ceiling cavity access is needed.
No. It runs directly on 240 V AC mains with fittings wired in parallel. A licensed electrician is required for the installation.
Three years replacement. Some older Havit documentation for this model still shows a shorter period; the current entitlement is three years and that is what applies here.
Only the depth of the housing. The extended model uses the same 7 W light engine, the same three colour settings, the same lumen figures and the same IP rating — it simply projects further below the ceiling for a more pronounced cylindrical look.
