The Domus PANEL-BLT-312 is a 1,200 × 300 mm backlit LED panel drawing 36 W, with a flicker-free driver and switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5700 K, in Trio or DALI.
⛔ One thing to settle before specifying the DALI version. Our record says this fitting is not dimmable, and it also offers a DALI variant. Those two statements cannot both be right — DALI exists to dim and address fittings digitally, and that is the whole reason to pay for it.
⚠ The same contradiction appears on the 300 × 300 mm panel in this range, so it is a range-level record problem rather than a one-off. If you are specifying the DALI version into a control system, confirm the dimming behaviour with us first. The Trio version has no such ambiguity: it is set by dip switch and it is not dimmable.
Domus fits a harmonic filter to reduce total harmonic distortion — the cause of visible strobing and of the eye strain and headaches some people get under cheap LED panels.
1,195 × 295 × 32 mm backlit LED panel for a 1,200 × 300 mm grid module. 36 W giving 3,010 / 3,415 / 3,200 lm at 3000 K / 4000 K / 5700 K, switchable. High-efficiency SMD, CRI ≥80, 40,000 hrs. ✅ Flicker-free driver with a harmonic filter. 240 V AC, IP20. White frame, opal diffuser. Trio (dip switch on the cable) or DALI. ⛔ The record says not dimmable while offering a DALI variant — confirm before specifying into a control system. Recessed into a grid ceiling, or plasterboard / surface / suspended with optional kits. Warranty 3 years — ⚠ its datasheet's warranty disclaimer is truncated in every copy we hold; ask us for the full condition.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
It should be — that is what DALI is for — but our record says this fitting is not dimmable while also offering a DALI variant, and those two statements cannot both be right. The same contradiction appears on the 300 × 300 mm panel in this range, so it is a record problem rather than a one-off. If you are specifying the DALI version into a control system, confirm the dimming behaviour with us first. The Trio version has no ambiguity: dip switch, not dimmable.
Yes — that is the format. It drops into a standard 1,200 × 300 mm grid module in place of a twin-tube batten, and at 3,415 lumens from 36 W it gives more light than the twin 36 W fluorescent it replaces at about half the power. It is 32 mm deep, which is irrelevant in a grid ceiling but worth checking in a shallow plasterboard void.
Where the LEDs sit. Backlit puts them behind the diffuser across the whole area; edge-lit puts them around the rim firing sideways into a light guide. On a 1,200 mm panel that difference shows — an edge-lit panel has to push light the full length from its ends, so the centre reads dimmer and banding is more visible. Backlit is even across the face, more efficient, and has no light guide to yellow over ten years.
Domus fits a harmonic filter that reduces total harmonic distortion, which causes visible strobing and the eye strain and headaches some people get under cheap LED panels. It matters most in exactly the rooms this panel goes into — offices, classrooms and workshops where people sit under it for eight hours — and in any space with cameras, because flicker shows as banding on video.
4000 K for an office, classroom or corridor — it is the default and also the brightest setting here at 3,415 lumens. 3000 K for reception areas and anywhere the space should feel less clinical. 5700 K for workshops and inspection areas. On the Trio the dip switch is attached to the fitting's cable, so set it before the panel goes into the ceiling.
Three years — but its datasheet carries a disclaimer that is cut off mid-sentence in every copy we hold, so there is a condition attached that we cannot read. We are not going to summarise a condition we have not seen. Ask us and we will get the full text from Domus before you order.
No. It is IP20, which is dry interiors only. For a damp location you want a weatherproof batten or a rated panel, and we can point you at one.
