The Vybor TL is a 500 mm table lamp in travertine, iron and fabric, in beige and ivory — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied, on 1.8 metres of flex.
⚠ It weighs 6.1 kilograms — and no source said so. For a 500 mm table lamp, that is roughly three times the heaviest other table lamp reviewed in this programme: the Tequo is 1.6 kg, the Poetix TL 1.98.
Two practical consequences:
It is real travertine, and our record did not say so. The material list held iron and fabric only. Travertine is quarried natural limestone, and it is the whole product — the weight, the price, and the reason it looks the way it does.
Every piece is different. Natural stone carries its own banding, pitting and tone, so yours will not be identical to the photograph. That is the point of natural stone rather than a fault.
It plugs into a power point. Our page said it “must be installed by a licensed electrician”. It has 1.8 metres of flex and is Class II double insulated. Removed.
Deliberately quiet in colour and unusual in form — the shade profile is the distinguishing feature of the range. It suits bohemian, coastal, Japandi and warm-minimal rooms, all of which are built on natural materials in neutral tones, where texture does the work colour does elsewhere.
Against a timber sideboard or a linen-covered wall, a stone lamp reads as part of the room. A black metal lamp in the same place reads as a fixture.
A conventional bedside and sideboard height — shorter than the 640 mm Poetix, taller than the 440 mm Nord. The fabric shade is wide relative to the 120 mm base, so it throws light up and down and keeps the globe hidden: a soft pool below and a wash on the wall or ceiling, with no glare at close range. That is what a bedside lamp needs.
The globe choice is simple. One E27 to 25 W, not supplied — nothing shows through the shade, so brightness and warmth are the only decisions. Use warm 2700 K: cool white makes a beige-and-ivory palette look grey.
Dimming depends on the globe. Our record says “No”; the datasheet and our own page both say globe dependent, and they are right. On a plug-in lamp that needs an inline or plug-in dimmer — and beside a bed it is well worth doing. Ask us and we will match the pair.
Vybor is made as this table lamp and a 1,650 mm floor lamp, in the same stone and fabric — and the floor lamp is 6.8 kg, barely heavier than this one, because the material is the same. A pair reads as one idea at two heights.
500 mm high, shade 300 mm, base 120 mm, flex 1,800 mm, 6.1 kg, in iron, TRAVERTINE and fabric, beige and ivory, textured. One E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied; dimming is globe dependent and needs an inline or plug-in dimmer. 240 V, plug-in — no electrician required, Class II — double insulated, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
6.1 kilograms — roughly three times the heaviest other table lamp reviewed in this programme, and no source said so. It means the lamp does not move: not when the flex is pulled, not when a child or a dog goes past. Almost every other table lamp here comes with a caution about exactly that.
Check the shelf first. Six kilograms on a wall-mounted floating shelf, a lightweight console or a slim-legged side table is a real load. On solid furniture it is fine.
Yes — quarried natural limestone, and the whole product: the weight, the price and the reason it looks as it does. Our record listed only iron and fabric.
Not exactly. Natural stone carries its own banding, pitting and tone, so every piece is different — the point of natural stone rather than a fault.
No. It has 1.8 metres of flex and is double insulated — fit a globe and plug it in. Our page said otherwise, which was wrong.
Yes. The shade is wide relative to the base, so it throws light up and down with the globe hidden — a soft pool below and no glare at close range. And with a dimmable globe and an inline dimmer it will go low for reading.
A warm 2700 K E27 — nothing shows through the shade, and cool white makes a beige-and-ivory palette look grey.
