The Virell PE9 is a 560 mm nine-light crystal pendant in chrome or gold — nine E14 globes to 25 W each, not supplied, 300 mm high on a 2,000 mm suspension.
⚠ The globe choice decides whether the crystal works at all — and on nine globes it matters more than on any other fitting in the range.
Ask us for a matched set of nine.
| Order code | Lights | Width | Height | Total wattage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PE9 | 9 | 560 mm | 300 mm | 225 W |
| PE6 | 6 | 400 mm | 300 mm | 150 W |
| PE3 | 3 | 260 mm | 300 mm | 75 W |
All three share exactly the same 300 mm height and differ only in diameter and light count. That makes the Virell a clean, honest range — worth saying plainly, because several ranges in this catalogue are not: the Farnix's six-light is narrower than its four, the Samona's eight is narrower than its six, and the Zofio's five-light is half the height of its four.
With a Virell you can choose on size and know exactly what you are getting.
Broad and shallow. At 560 mm across, nine sources spread widely enough to light a full dining table rather than pooling in the middle; at only 300 mm deep, it stays above the sightline between people sitting opposite each other, which a taller fitting of the same width would not.
That combination is why it works as a dining-room centrepiece — and it is equally at home in a stairwell or a generous living space, on the full two-metre drop.
Nine E14 to 25 W each — 225 W total, not supplied. E14 is the small screw base, SES — a candle or golf-ball globe. (Our record carried no globe base at all, on any of the three Virell pendants; it exists only on the page and in the datasheet.)
With LED filaments at 4 to 6 W the real draw is around 45 W — a fifth of the rating — so the fitting runs cool and sits well inside its limit. That matters on a crystal fitting: nine incandescent globes at 25 W would put 225 watts of heat into a closed cluster of glass.
It dims, with the right globes. Our record says “No”; the datasheet and our own page both say globe dependent, and they are right — nothing in a fitting holding nine E14s prevents it.
On crystal, dimming is the effect. At full, nine sources light the room and the sparkle competes with everything else. Low, the room falls back and the refractions become the only thing you see — which is the reason to own a crystal fitting at all. ⚠ Nine LEDs on one dimmer is the hardest flicker case in this range — do not mix brands. Ask us for a matched set.
⚠ No weight is recorded for a nine-light crystal pendant, and crystal is dense — a crystal fitting weighs considerably more than its frame suggests, and this is the largest of the three. On a two-metre suspension the mount takes movement as well as dead weight. Ask us before the fixing is chosen, and treat it as a structural question until we have the figure.
Class I — earth required, canopy 105 mm, and IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. In iron, stainless steel and crystal.
Virell is made as three, six and nine-light pendants and a twin wall light, all sharing the crystal detailing — so a dining room can carry this pendant with Virell wall lights along the hallway, which is how a crystal scheme is normally built.
560 mm wide by 300 mm high, canopy 105 mm, suspension 2,000 mm, in iron, stainless steel and crystal, chrome or gold. Weight is not recorded — ask us. Nine E14 (SES) globes to 25 W each — 225 W total, not supplied; dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Nine clear filament globes — candle or golf-ball E14 — in warm 2700 K, all the same brand. Crystal refracts a point source into sparkle; a frosted or opal globe has no point to refract and the crystal goes flat and grey. On nine globes a colour mismatch is multiplied nine ways, which makes this the least forgiving fitting in the range for mixed globes.
Honestly, which is worth saying because several ranges here do not. All three Virell pendants share exactly the same 300 mm height and differ only in diameter and light count — 260, 400 and 560 mm. The Farnix’s six-light is narrower than its four, the Samona’s eight is narrower than its six, and the Zofio’s five is half the height of its four. With a Virell you can choose on size and know what you are getting.

Not recorded — and crystal is dense, so a crystal fitting weighs considerably more than its frame suggests, and this is the largest of the three. No. That is the maximum, from when nine globes meant nine incandescent lamps. With LED filaments at 4 to 6 watts the real draw is around 45 W. It also matters for heat: nine incandescents would put 225 watts of it into a closed cluster of glass.
Chrome is cool and reflective; the frame disappears against a light ceiling and the crystal carries the fitting — and on the nine-light, where there is a good deal of frame, letting it vanish is often the better call. Gold is warm and reads as part of the statement: at nine lights it is unambiguously the feature of the room.
