xViper 9.6w per metre 2m Haviflex LED Strip Kit - IP67 complete with Dimmable LED driver
This is a complete LED strip kit. Unlike a bare reel it arrives with the driver it needs, so it is a finished lighting run rather than one component of one.
That matters more than it sounds. The most common mistake with strip lighting is buying the strip and discovering afterwards that it needs a separate driver, sized correctly, before it will light at all.
Output and colour
This strip draws 9.6W per metre, producing 500lm per metre.
⚠ Both figures are per metre, not per reel. A long run multiplies them, and that is the number that decides the driver.
It is a 3000K product - one fixed colour temperature.
At this colour temperature the light is warm - closer to a filament lamp than to daylight. It flatters timber, brick, brass and skin, and it is what makes a living room, a bedroom or a restaurant feel settled rather than clinical.
⚠ Warm light and white surfaces can fight each other. Against a cool white benchtop or grey tile, a warm strip can read as yellow rather than warm - worth testing a short length before committing to a long run.
Colour rendering is CRI>90 CRI, which describes how faithfully colours appear under the light. It matters most where the lighting falls on food, skin, timber or fabric.
The beam spread is 120°.
Where it can be installed
What is in the kit
The strip and its driver are supplied together and matched to each other, in a 2 metre length. The driver connects to 240V mains and feeds the strip at 24V DC.
⚠ The mains connection is licensed electrical work. The kit removes the sizing decision, not the electrician.
Cutting and installing it
Strip is cut to length at the marked cutting points only. Cutting between them severs the circuit and kills everything past the cut, so plan the run to the nearest marked point rather than to the exact millimetre.
Run it in an aluminium profile. The aluminium draws heat away, which is the single biggest factor in how long a strip holds its brightness, and the diffuser turns the line of separate LEDs into a continuous one.
Test the run before committing it. Adhesive backing does not survive being lifted and re-laid well, and a fault found after the diffuser and end caps are on means taking the whole run apart.
This strip is dimmable. Dimming happens at the driver rather than at the strip, so the driver and the dimmer have to match.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need anything else?
The driver is included, so the kit is complete as supplied. The mains connection still has to be made by an electrician.
Is the wattage per metre or per reel?
Per metre. 9.6W is what one metre draws, so multiply by the length of your run before sizing a driver.
Can I cut it to length?
Yes, but only at the marked cutting points. Cutting between them kills the section past the cut.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, at the driver. The driver and the dimmer have to use the same dimming method.
Do I need an electrician?
For the mains connection to the driver, yes. That is licensed electrical work in Australia.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
