Versa Up & Down Square Wall Light

The Versa square is the glass-fronted aluminium member of Havit’s up-and-down range, and its standout figure is one people rarely look for: UGR under 19. That is a genuinely low glare rating for an exterior fitting, and it is the difference between a wall light you can walk past comfortably and one that catches you in the eye. Pair that with SDCM under 5 and it is the most visually refined fitting in this group.

It is a 100 mm square body in black or white, poly powder-coated over aluminium, behind a glass diffuser rather than plastic.

Adjustable beam, and a properly dimmable one

The beam adjusts from 5° to 120°, set at installation — a tight blade for grazing texture up a wall, or a wide wash for even coverage. It is also Triac dimmable, which most fittings in this class are not, and Havit’s matched control is the HV9625 300 W LED dial dimmer. Being able to both shape and lower the light is what makes this the specification choice rather than the budget one.

Output

It carries 2 × 3 W of built-in tri-colour LED. Per direction that is 220 lm at 3000K, 230 lm at 4000K and 240 lm at 5500K — rising as the light cools, and roughly double those figures from the fitting overall. Colour is selected on the fitting during installation, so one product covers warm, neutral and cool.

⚠ What Havit does not tell us about coastal use

The rating is IP65, so a fully exposed wall is within specification and no eave is needed. On salt air, though, we will not guess. Havit publishes no installation sheet for the Versa at all — only a data sheet — and neither that sheet nor its product page states any coastal restriction. Havit’s installation sheets for other aluminium exterior fittings do exclude installation within 5 km of salt water, and the body here is aluminium, but that figure belongs to those documents and not to this model, and the same clause appears elsewhere in Havit’s catalogue at a different distance. So we are not publishing a number for it. If the address is near the sea, treat the coastal question as open and confirm with us before ordering — and note that the polycarbonate Celes in the same range is listed by Havit as coastal-suitable.

Installing it

It is Protection Class 1 and requires an earth. Impact resistance is IK06, mid-range and better than the polycarbonate alternatives. It wires directly to 240 V mains with no driver, and the LED module is rated to 30,000 hours with CRI above 80. Havit gives its dimensions as an unlabelled drawing, so we have quoted only the figures the sheet actually names; refer to the drawing for the mounting-base layout.

If a brighter version of exactly this fitting is wanted, the HV36584T is the same design at double the length with four emitters instead of two.
