The Verdun PE26 is a 265 mm contoured frosted glass pendant in antique gold — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied, on a 2,000 mm suspension.
⚠ This size gives exactly as much light as the 400 mm. Both Verduns take the same single E27 to 25 W. So a run of three of these is the only way to get more light from a Verdun — and over an island, three small contoured pendants are better proportioned than one large one anyway.
The shade is frosted and contoured: a shaped profile rather than a plain dome, which is where the Verdun's traditional character comes from. Because the frosting hides the globe completely, there is no glare from any angle.
That is the practical reason to choose a Verdun. It can hang low over an island or a bench, at the height where a pendant actually does its work, without anyone squinting at it. In a run of three at working height, that is the whole difference between a scheme that works and one you avoid looking at.
The contour gives the glass gradation as the light passes through — brighter where the profile turns, softer where it flattens — so it reads as a traditional fitting rather than a modern globe.
On a 120 mm canopy with 2,000 mm of adjustable drop. At this size a single Verdun is a detail — beside a bed, in a small entry, at a hallway end — and three over an island is a composition. Over a full dining table on its own it will look undersized; the 400 mm is the one for that.
The globe choice is simple, and it matters in a run. One E27 to 25 W, not supplied. Nothing shows through frosted glass, so brightness and warmth are the only decisions — but if you are hanging three, buy the globes together so all three shades read the same. Use warm 2700 K: against antique gold, cool white reads green.
It dims, with the right globe — and our page had it right. The specification table said “Globe Dependant”, which is correct; our record said “No”, which is not. In a run, three LEDs on one dimmer is where mismatched brands flicker — ask us for a matched set.
⚠ No weight is recorded for a 265 mm iron and glass pendant. Ask us before the fixings are chosen, particularly for a run of three. It is Class I — earth required and IP20 — indoor and dry locations only.

Several, over an island. Both Verdun sizes take the same single globe, so a run of three of these is the only way to get more light from a Verdun — and three small contoured pendants are better proportioned over a bench than one large one anyway.
