Product Description
xThe Varon is a wall light on a real travertine base, with a glass shade you choose — two stone colours × six glass options, twelve combinations, and the shades can be swapped later.
Travertine, and it is genuinely stone
Not a stone-look finish and not a composite — travertine, the honeycomb limestone with its natural pitting and banding. That means no two bases are identical, and it is the entire reason to choose a Varon over a metal wall light. Our own record does not even list it as a material, which tells you how easily the good part of a product gets lost.
Twelve combinations, and you pick the pair
Beige or black travertine, each with any of six glass shades:
- Opal Matt — milky, fully diffused, no glare at head height.
- Smoke and Smoke Tear — grey, moody, contemporary.
- Frost Tear — frosted, teardrop profile.
- Clear Prism — faceted, the sparkliest.
- Amber Tear — warm, golden, most traditional.
These are the same six shades the Felton range uses, so a Varon wall light and a Felton pendant can be specified as one scheme.
You can change the glass later
Additional shades are sold separately. Restyle the room in five years and you change a shade, not a fitting. Very little else is built that way.
IP44 — sheltered positions only. It is typed as an outdoor light and rated for splashing water from any direction, which covers a covered porch, a verandah or an alfresco wall. It is not for an exposed wall in driving rain — and note that travertine is a porous stone, so a sheltered position protects the base as much as the electrics. The old copy described it as indoor; it works indoors too.
One G9 globe to 6 W, not supplied
A G9 capsule, not a screw globe. Because most of these shades are translucent rather than opaque, the globe is partly visible — and at 6 W a modern LED capsule gives about 350 lm, which is the right scale for a wall light you stand beside.

Questions
Is the travertine real?
Yes — real limestone with its natural pitting and banding, so no two bases are identical. It is the reason to choose a Varon over a metal wall light, and our own record does not even list it as a material.
How many combinations are there?
Twelve — two travertine colours, beige and black, each with any of six glass shades.
Can I change the shade later?
Yes, additional shades are sold separately. Restyle the room in five years and you change a shade, not a fitting.
Which shade should I pick?
Opal Matt is the softest with no glare at head height. Clear Prism is the sparkliest. Amber Tear is the most traditional. The smokes are the contemporary choice.
Can it go on an exposed wall?
No. IP44 covers a covered porch, verandah or alfresco wall. Travertine is porous, so a sheltered position protects the base as much as the electrics.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
