The Valora TL is a 545 mm table lamp in iron and natural fibre with a patina finish — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied — in bronze with a natural shade or gun metal with a black shade.

A tapered fibre shade, and the record had lost the fibre

Our listing said “Iron” alone. The shade is woven natural fibre, and it is tapered — 120 mm across the top, 180 mm at the bottom, 160 mm deep. A taper does two things: it throws more light downward than a straight drum, and the weave catches light differently on the slope, so the shade is brighter at its base. On a console that reads as a lamp that glows from below rather than a lit cylinder.

⚠ It does not change colour. Our record carries a colour-changing flag against it. It takes one ordinary E27 globe and includes none. This is the third lamp in this range carrying the same false flag — a data problem, not a product one.

Larger than the Lyndra, and a different shape

Valora and Lyndra share the iron and fibre, patina finish and the same two colourways. Valora is the bigger, wider one — 545 mm tall and 330 mm long on a 180 mm base, at 2 kg. If you are choosing between them: Lyndra for a bedside or a narrow shelf, Valora for a console or a sideboard where the extra width has room.

You almost certainly do not need an electrician. It is Class II — double insulated — on an 1,800 mm cable. The old page carried an electrician requirement that belongs to hard-wired fittings.

Bronze or gun metal

Bronze with the natural shade is warm all the way through — the fibre lights as pale straw and the frame reads as an aged metal beneath it. Gun metal with black keeps the weave as texture and loses the glow. Both are patina, not gloss, so the metal stays quiet.

Dimming depends on the globe

Fit a dimmable E27 and use a plug-in or inline dimmer and it dims; a plain globe will not. Our record says “No”, which is misleading — the correct answer is globe dependent.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
