The Tivah is the spike light most people picture when they think of garden lighting — an adjustable head on a ground spike, aimed at a tree trunk, a rendered wall or a row of hedging. It takes an MR16 lamp up to 20 W, which means the beam and output are yours to choose and to change later.

Where it works
  • Uplighting trees and feature planting — the head adjusts, so you aim it once the plant is where you want it.
  • Grazing textured walls — rendered, stone or brick surfaces read best from a low, raking angle.
  • Garden beds and borders — a 2 metre lead gives real freedom in positioning before you commit to a driver location.
Specifying it

IP65 and IK08 rated with a clear glass diffuser and an aluminium body, powder-coated in black or white. Runs on 12V DC and needs a driver sized to the whole circuit — a 20 W lamp ceiling per fitting adds up quickly across a garden run. Protection Class 3, so no earth is needed on the low-voltage side.

Because the lamp is separate, replacing it later is a lamp change rather than a fitting change. Supplied without a globe. 3-year replacement warranty; install by a licensed electrician.

Common questions
Is a globe included?

No. It takes an MR16 lamp up to 20 W, bought separately, so you choose the beam and output.

Do I need a driver?

Yes. It runs on 12V DC and needs a driver sized to the whole circuit — a 20 W ceiling per fitting adds up fast across a garden.

How far can it sit from the driver?

No more than 25 m, and voltage must stay within ±5%. Outside that, the warranty is void.

How long is the lead?

2 metres, which gives real freedom in positioning before you commit to a driver location.

Can I install it near the coast?

Aluminium fittings must not be installed within 2 km of salt water. Choose a 316 stainless model instead.

Is it dimmable?

No. Dimming depends on the MR16 lamp you fit, not the housing.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.

  • Restocking fee: 20% will apply unless otherwise stated, or unless another order of equal or greater value is placed in lieu of this re-stocking fee.
  • Credit: will be issued in the form of store credit and will be equal to the price paid.
