Product Description
xThe Thalia OY30 is a 300 mm round oyster with a teak wood finish — 12 W giving 620 lm, with switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 6000 K and three-step dimming from the wall switch you already have.
⚠ Buy this one for its size, not for its light. The three Thalias give 52, 66 and 77.5 lm/W, and this is the 52. The 400 mm gives two and a half times the light for twice the power.
So the 300 mm is the right choice where a small fitting is what the ceiling wants — a hallway, a laundry, a walk-in robe, a small bedroom, a landing — and the wrong one if you are choosing it to save money on a room that needs more light.
620 lumens — a modest, honest amount
Right for a small room: a hallway, a landing, a robe, a study nook. In a bedroom it works as a soft general light with a lamp beside the bed. It will not light a living room.
That restraint is appropriate at 300 mm. A small fitting pushed to a large output is a bright spot on a ceiling, which is uncomfortable to sit under.
It dims from an ordinary wall switch — and here that is the whole point
No dimmer, no new wiring. Off and straight back on: 100%, 50%, 20%, then full again.
On a small fitting in a hallway or outside a bedroom door, the 20% step is genuinely useful — a night level that is enough to walk by and not enough to wake anyone. Very few small oysters can do that, and none of them can do it without a dimmer in the wall.
Three colour settings, reaching daylight
3000 K, 4000 K, 6000 K, on a slide switch. Useful at this size because small rooms differ: a laundry or robe wants 4000 K or 6000 K so you can see colours properly, while a hallway or bedroom wants 3000 K. One fitting covers both.
⚠ Choose it before the electrician leaves. Our record flags the Thalia as colour changing, which overstates it — the setting is made once, at the fitting, at installation, and is fixed afterwards.

Light and shallow, which at 300 mm means it fixes easily and reads as a timber disc set against the ceiling rather than a fitting hanging off it. The square Lyric OY30 is the identical light in a square body.
IP20 — indoor and dry locations only, so not a bathroom or a laundry that gets steam — the square Lunos oysters are IP44 and start at 230 mm if you need one that can. Class I — earth required, in wood, polycarbonate and metal — the metal was missing from our record. CRI above 80.

Is it worth buying the small one?
Buy it for its size, not its light. The three Thalias give 52, 66 and 77.5 lm/W, and this is the 52 — the 400 mm gives two and a half times the light for twice the power. Choose the 300 mm where a small fitting is what the ceiling wants, not to save money on a room that needs more light.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
