Tequo LED Floor Lamp

The Tequo is a 1.5 m LED floor lamp with a smoked glass dome on a slim black frame — 20 W giving 610 lm at 3000 K, with three brightness steps.

The smoked glass dome — and what it costs you

This is the lamp's whole character, and it is worth being straight about the trade:

• ✅ Smoked glass turns the light source into an object. Lit, the dome glows amber-grey rather than glaring, so you can have the lamp in your eye line in a living room without it being uncomfortable. Clear or opal glass cannot do that.
• ⚠ It absorbs light to do it. The Tequo draws 20 W and delivers 610 lm — 30 lm/W, which is low, and the tint is where the difference goes. You are paying watts for the look, and the look is the reason to buy it.

The mid-century, space-age shape — a dome on a thin stem — sits with walnut, leather, bouclé and terrazzo, and beside a sofa rather than behind it.

610 lumens — atmosphere, not reading

• ✅ A warm, glare-free pool beside a chair or a sofa, and something you can turn down to 20% for an evening.
• ⚠ Not a reading lamp. The dome throws light down and out from 1.5 m, which fills a corner rather than putting a bright pool on a page. If you read in that chair, add a directed lamp over the shoulder — ask us.
• ⚠ Not a room's main light either. It is a layer, alongside a ceiling fitting.

✅ The LED is integrated and included, so there is no globe to buy, nothing to match, and no chance of someone fitting the wrong colour temperature later.

It plugs in, and there is a box on the cord

The Tequo is Class III — low voltage, under 54 V, so an external driver sits between the plug and the lamp. Nothing on our page said so.

• ✅ No electrician. It plugs into an ordinary socket, and the low-voltage lead to the lamp is safer than a mains flex if it is ever pinched under a castor.
• ⚠ Plan where the driver box will sit — behind the sofa leg, or against the skirting.
• The lead is 2 m, which is generous for a floor lamp and usually enough to reach past furniture.

Where it works

• Beside a sofa or an armchair — the dome is comfortable in your eye line.
• Living rooms, as a layer beside a ceiling light.
• Mid-century and contemporary interiors — walnut, leather, terrazzo.
• ⚠ Not a reading lamp, and not a room's main light.
• ⚠ Do NOT fit a dimmer. Its own switch does three steps.

1,500 mm tall, 4.3 kg, lead 2,000 mm beyond the driver; ⚠ dome diameter and base footprint are not recorded — ask us. In iron and smoked glass, black. Integrated 20 W LED giving 610 lm at 3000 K, CRI >80, included, with three brightness steps (100% / 50% / 20%) from its own switch — NOT a dimmer, and do not fit one. 240 V at the plug, Class III — low voltage, external driver, no electrician, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
