Product Description
xThe Stow is a ø90 mm round recessed step light — 3 W, 200 lm, on a 140° beam — in nickel or white, warm or cool.
Our supplier sheet marks this a clearance item. It may be discontinued. Check availability with us before specifying it across a whole staircase — running out halfway through a run is the problem to avoid.
The cut-out is recorded — 70 mm
Worth noting, because two other step lights in this range do not publish one: the Stow needs a 70 mm hole for a ø90 mm fitting, so the trim covers the cut edge with 10 mm to spare all round.
The driver is included
An LED driver is supplied with the fitting. On a low-voltage recessed light that saves sourcing one separately and guarantees it is matched — not something every step light in this range does.
A 140° forward beam
Wider than a spot, narrower than the 360° Lima. It throws light forward and down onto the tread rather than evenly all round — more directed, and better where you want the step lit and the wall left alone.
Colour and finish are fixed by order code
.830 is 3000 K warm, .850 is
5000 K cool, in nickel or white. Not switchable. For a stair used
at night, warm disturbs dark-adapted eyes far less.
IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. An internal stair light, not rated for an external step or a porch.
Where it works
- Internal stair risers, one every few treads.
- Hallways, as low-level night guidance.
- Cinema rooms and stepped floors.
- Under benches and beds.
Specifying it
ø90 mm fitting, 70 mm cut-out, in aluminium and polycarbonate. Built-in 3 W LED giving 200 lm, beam 140°, CRI >80, power factor >0.9, LED driver included. Not dimmable. 240 V, Class II — double insulated, no earth required, IP20 — indoor only.

How does it differ from the Lima step light?
The Stow throws a 140° forward beam onto the tread; the Lima emits 360° all round. The Stow is the more directed of the two.
Warm or cool?
.830 is 3000 K warm, .850 is 5000 K cool, fixed by order code. For a stair used at night, warm disturbs dark-adapted eyes far less.
Can it go on an outdoor step?
No. It is IP20 — internal stairs only.
What is the warranty?
Our sources disagree — one year as a clearance item on the sheet, three years in our record. Ask us and we will confirm.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
