The Sova DL93 is a 93 mm recessed LED downlight in dark grey or white — 10 W giving 1,050 lm at 3000 K, CRI above 90, TRIAC dimmable, 85 mm cutout.
It draws 10 W, not the 6 W our page said. 1,050 lm from 6 W would be 175 lm/W, which no CRI-above-90 COB achieves. The datasheet says 10 W, and the surface-mounted Sova gives exactly 1,050 lm from 10 W. If you are sizing a circuit for a run of these, use 10 W — the old figure understated the load by forty per cent.
The warranty is FIVE years, not three. Our page said three; the datasheet says five, matching the surface-mounted sibling. Five is what applies.
Our record simply said IP44. The datasheet is more precise: IP44 (room side). That means the visible face is protected against splashing water — so it is suitable for a bathroom ceiling outside the shower zone — while the back of the fitting, in the ceiling void, is not weather-rated. It is the normal and correct arrangement for a recessed bathroom downlight, and it is worth your electrician knowing the wording.
An 85 mm hole is the common Australian downlight cutout, so this drops into most existing ceilings when you are replacing older fittings. The face is 93 mm, giving a 4 mm overlap all round — enough to cover a slightly ragged existing hole, not enough to cover a badly cut one. Depth above the ceiling is 87 mm.
1,050 lm from 10 W is efficient, and it holds CRI above 90 at the same time — a combination that usually trades one against the other. In a kitchen that means food and timber look right; over a whole ceiling it means fewer fittings for the same light.
The beam is 36° — narrower than the usual 60°, giving a tighter, lower-glare pool, so space them closer than you would a wide downlight. Dimming is TRIAC, the ordinary leading-edge wall dimmer, with surge protection built in. IC-4 means it may be covered by ceiling insulation — which on a recessed fitting is the rating that actually matters.
⚠ It is Class III — low voltage — so it runs on a driver. Normally supplied with a downlight, but no source we hold confirms it. Ask us before you order a run.
93 mm face, 85 mm cutout, 87 mm depth, tail 950 mm, in satin aluminium. Integrated 10 W COB LED giving 1,050 lm at 3000 K, included, CRI >90, 36° beam, 240 mA, TRIAC dimmable, surge protection, IC-4. 240 V, Class III — low voltage; driver required, not confirmed as supplied, IP44 from the room side. Warranty is five years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Ten. Our page said 6 W alongside 1,050 lm, which would be 175 lm/W — impossible for a CRI-above-90 COB. The datasheet says 10 W and the surface-mounted Sova gives exactly 1,050 lm from 10 W. Size your circuit on 10.
Five. Our page said three; the datasheet says five, matching the surface-mounted sibling.
On a bathroom ceiling outside the shower zone, yes. The datasheet says IP44 room side, meaning the visible face is splash-protected while the back of the fitting in the ceiling void is not weather-rated — the normal arrangement for a recessed bathroom downlight.
An 85 mm hole, which is the common Australian size, so it drops into most existing ceilings. The face is 93 mm — a 4 mm overlap, enough to cover a slightly ragged hole but not a badly cut one. Allow 87 mm of depth above the ceiling.

Yes — IC-4 rated, which on a recessed fitting is the rating that actually matters.
A TRIAC wall dimmer — the ordinary leading-edge type. Surge protection is built in.
