The Sova CTC70 is a 70 mm surface-mounted LED downlight in dark grey or white — 10 W giving 1,050 lm at 3000 K, CRI above 90, TRIAC dimmable, with a 36° beam.
The warranty is FIVE years, not three. Our page said three. The Telbix datasheet says five, and we are publishing five — a longer warranty is not something we would invent, and the datasheet is the vendor’s own document. If you bought one on the old page, the five years still applies.
This is the version that mounts on the ceiling rather than into it — which means it works where a recessed downlight cannot: concrete slabs, rendered ceilings, rentals, anywhere you cannot or will not cut a hole. It projects 150 mm, so it reads as a small cylinder rather than a flush disc.
1,050 lm from 10 W is 105 lm/W, which is efficient, and it is achieved while holding CRI above 90. Those two usually trade against each other — high-CRI LEDs normally give up efficiency. Getting both means bright, true-coloured light without a high load, which over a whole kitchen or living room is the difference between six fittings and nine.
Most general downlights spread 60 degrees or more. At 36° the Sova throws a tighter, more defined pool — excellent over a bench, an island or artwork, and low-glare because the source is recessed behind the beam. As a general room light it needs closer spacing than you might expect. Worth saying to your electrician before they set out.
TRIAC is the common leading-edge wall dimmer, which is the good news: no special controller, no app, no remote. Surge protection is built in.
⚠ It is Class III — low voltage — so it runs on a driver. On a downlight one is normally supplied, but no source we hold confirms it. Ask us before you order a run of them.
IC-4 means it may be covered by ceiling insulation — on a surface-mounted fitting that matters less than on a recessed one, but it tells you the fitting runs cool. Rating is IP20 — indoor and dry locations only.
70 mm diameter, 150 mm high, 0.5 kg, tail 600 mm, in matte aluminium. Integrated 10 W COB LED giving 1,050 lm at 3000 K, included, CRI >90, 36° beam, 240 mA, TRIAC dimmable, surge protection, IC-4. 240 V, Class III — low voltage; driver required, not confirmed as supplied, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is five years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.

No — this is the surface-mounted version. It mounts on the ceiling rather than into it, which is why it works on concrete slabs, rendered ceilings and rentals where nothing can be recessed.
36 degrees, which is narrow. Most general downlights spread 60 or more. It gives a tighter, more defined and lower-glare pool — excellent over a bench or artwork, but as a general room light it needs closer spacing.

Yes — 105 lm/W, and it holds CRI above 90 at the same time. Those two usually trade against each other, which is what makes this fitting worth choosing.
It is IC-4 rated, so yes — which on a surface-mounted fitting mostly tells you it runs cool. It is IP20, so indoor and dry locations only.
