Product Description
xThe Sotra TL is a rechargeable cordless table lamp with touch dimming — 3 W giving 300 lm at 3000 K, IP54 — in beige, black, brown, green, grey or orange.
There is nothing to install. It runs on a battery and charges from a 1,000 mm lead. The old page said “this fitting must be installed by a licensed electrician”, which was simply wrong — you charge it and put it where you like.
Cordless is the whole point
A lamp with no cord goes on an outdoor table, on a step, on a shelf with no power near it — and comes inside when the weather turns. That is a different product from a table lamp, and it is why the IP54 rating matters: it is dust-protected and rated against splashing water, so a shower while it is on the patio table is not a problem.

Touch dimming, and 300 lumens at full
Touch the lamp to change the level. At full it gives 300 lm at 3000 K — enough to light a dinner table as an atmosphere, not enough to read a book by comfortably. Dimmed, it is a candle substitute, which is what most people buy it for.
Six colours, which is unusual
Beige, black, brown, green, grey and orange. Very few lit products come in six colourways, and on a portable lamp it makes sense — it is an object you carry around and set down, closer to tableware than to a fixture. Orange and green are genuinely uncommon.
Two things our sources disagree on. Height is recorded as both 265 mm and 310 mm, and the material as both aluminium and iron. We have not picked a winner on either. If the exact height matters, ask us and we will confirm with Telbix.
Two years, not three
The warranty on this one is two years, where most of the Telbix range is three. That is a battery product, and batteries are the reason. Stated plainly so there is no surprise later.

Questions
Do I need an electrician?
No — there is nothing to install. It runs on a battery and charges from a 1,000 mm lead. The old page said an electrician was required, which was simply wrong.
How long does a charge last?
We do not know, and we will not guess. No battery capacity or run time exists in any source we hold — which on a rechargeable lamp is the number that decides whether it suits you. Ask us and we will get it from Telbix.
Can it live outside?
It can go outside — IP54 is dust-protected and rated against splashing water, so a shower while it is on the patio table is fine. It is not immersion-rated, so do not leave it in standing water, and it is designed to come back in.
Is it bright enough to read by?

How do I dim it?
By touching the lamp. No switch, no dimmer, no wiring.
Why is the warranty two years?

xWarranties, Return & Refund Policy
xWarranties
For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
