The Siedel PE09 is a nine-light French Provincial pendant in copper — available with fabric shades or bare — nine E14 globes to 25 W each, not supplied, at 500 mm high.

You choose shaded or bare, and it is a real decision. Both are stocked, and they are different fittings to live with:

  • With fabric shades (4.28 kg) — the globes are covered, the light is diffused and glare-free, and the fitting reads as a traditional French Provincial chandelier. It can hang lower, and the globes need not match visually.
  • Bare (3.2 kg) — nine visible E14 globes on a copper armature: a deliberate, more contemporary look. ⚠ The globes then become the entire appearance, so you must buy nine matched decorative filaments — and it must hang well above eye level, because nine bare sources at head height is a great deal of glare.

Adding a light makes it smaller, which inverts what anyone would assume. The likeliest explanation is arrangement: the nine spreading its lights across two tiers where the eight uses one taller single tier. We have asked Telbix, and we will confirm before you order — on a fitting bought for a specific ceiling, the height decides it.

Nine globes, 225 watts of capacity

Nine E14 to 25 W each — 225 W total, none supplied. E14 is the small screw base, SES — a candle or golf-ball globe.

With LED candles at 4 to 6 W the real draw is around 45 W, a fifth of the rating. On a fitting with fabric shades that matters for heat as much as cost.

The globe choice follows the shade decision:

  • Shaded — globes hidden, so brightness and warmth are the only decisions and the nine need not match.
  • Bare — buy nine matched decorative LED filaments, candle or golf-ball. Mismatched bare globes on an exposed chandelier are the most visible mistake you can make in a room.

Either way warm 2700 K: against copper, cool white reads green and turns a warm metal muddy.

It dims, with the right globes — the datasheet says globe dependent and the specification table carried no dimming row at all. ⚠ Nine LEDs on one dimmer wants a matched set. Ask us.

Copper, and French Provincial

Copper is an unusual finish here — this catalogue runs mostly to brass, chrome, nickel, black and gold. Copper is warmer and pinker than brass and reads as older: it belongs with aged timber, stone, linen and muted paint rather than polished contemporary surfaces.

Paired with a French Provincial form — a wide tiered armature with candle lights — it gives a fitting that is traditional without being formal, which is harder to buy than it sounds.

⚠ What our page did not tell you. Its specification table was three lines: the finish, the light count and the maximum wattage. There was no voltage, no IP rating, no dimensions and no dimming, and our record carries only a wattage, a warranty and an application.

So: 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only, in iron with fabric shades, on a 2,000 mm suspension. ⚠ And no width is recorded anywhere — on a nine-light chandelier, that is the figure that decides whether it suits your table. Ask us before you order.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
