The Siedel PE08 is an eight-light French Provincial pendant in copper — available with fabric shades or bare — eight E14 globes to 25 W each, not supplied, at 550 mm high.

This is the tallest Siedel — taller than the nine.

So the eight is the deepest fitting in the range, and the nine gets an extra light by spreading rather than growing. ⚠ On an ordinary 2.4-metre ceiling, 550 mm plus a suspension is a substantial drop — over a dining table it will sit low, which is correct; over a walkway it will not.

Shaded or bare — a real decision

Both are stocked, and they are different fittings to live with:

  • With fabric shades (4.86 kg) — globes covered, light diffused and glare-free, reading as a traditional French Provincial chandelier. It can hang lower, and the globes need not match.
  • Bare (3.9 kg) — eight visible E14 globes on a copper armature: deliberate and more contemporary. ⚠ The globes become the entire appearance, so buy eight matched decorative filaments, and hang it well above eye level.

Eight globes, 200 watts of capacity

Eight E14 to 25 W each — 200 W total, none supplied. E14 is the small screw base, SES. With LED candles at 4 to 6 W the real draw is around 40 W — a fifth of the rating, which on a fitting with fabric shades matters for heat as much as cost.

Warm 2700 K: against copper, cool white reads green and turns a warm metal muddy.

It dims, with the right globes — the datasheet says globe dependent, and the specification table carried no dimming row at all. ⚠ Eight LEDs on one dimmer wants a matched set.

Copper, and French Provincial

Copper is unusual in this catalogue, which runs mostly to brass, chrome, nickel, black and gold. It is warmer and pinker than brass and reads as older — it belongs with aged timber, stone, linen and muted paint. Paired with a French Provincial armature it is traditional without being formal.

⚠ What our page did not tell you. Its specification table was three lines — finish, light count, maximum wattage — with no voltage, no IP rating, no dimensions and no dimming.

So: 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only, in iron with fabric shades, on a 2,000 mm suspension. ⚠ And no width is recorded anywhere — on an eight-light chandelier, that decides whether it suits your table. Ask us before you order.

Is it bigger than the nine-light?

Taller, yes — 550 mm against the nine’s 500, which makes it the deepest fitting in the range. The nine gets its extra light by spreading rather than growing. On an ordinary 2.4-metre ceiling, 550 mm plus a suspension is a substantial drop: over a dining table it will sit low, which is correct, and over a walkway it will not.

Shaded or bare?

Both are stocked. Shaded, the globes are covered, the light is diffused and glare-free, it reads as a traditional French Provincial chandelier, and the globes need not match. How heavy is it?

3.9 kg bare or 4.86 kg with the shades. Our datasheet records it as the single string “3.9 or 4.86”, which is why no page ever displayed a weight.

What globes do I need?

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
