The Seneca is a table lamp with a capiz shell body on an iron base, under an ivory fabric shade. Capiz is a natural shell laid in overlapping translucent plates — it glows rather than reflects when the lamp is on, which is the reason to choose it over glass or ceramic.

Capiz shell is a natural material

Every plate is slightly different, so no two lamps are identical and the surface has visible variation by design. It is also more delicate than metal or glass: handle it by the base, not the shell, and keep it out of a high-traffic hallway where it could be knocked.

530 mm tall, which is a bedside height

At 530 mm on a ø320 mm footprint with a 230 mm shade, this is a lamp for a bedside table, a console or a sideboard. It weighs 1.55 kg, so it is stable without being heavy.

Plugs in, no electrician needed

It is Class II — double insulated, no earth required, on an 1,800 mm cable with an inline switch about 300 mm from the lamp. It plugs into a normal outlet, and the cord switch means it does not need a switched socket — useful beside a bed.

One E27 globe up to 25 W, not supplied. Height 530 mm, ø320 mm, shade height 230 mm, base ø110 mm, weight 1.55 kg. Materials are capiz shell, iron and fabric. It is IP20 — indoor and dry locations only, and dimming is globe dependent. Warranty is three years.

Supplied and supported by Lights For You. A warm globe suits capiz — the shell is at its best lit from within by something close to 2700 K.
