The Sbarra Single Spot is one adjustable head on a compact round base — the smallest member of Havit’s Sbarra range and the one to reach for when a single object needs lighting rather than a room. It surface mounts to a ceiling or a wall, wires straight to 240 V mains, and puts a 36° beam exactly where the head is pointed.
The built-in LED draws 8 W and produces 640 lm at 3000K, 720 lm at 4000K and 680 lm at 5500K. That middle figure is worth noticing: output on this range peaks at 4000K and eases off at both ends of the switch, so the warmest setting is not the dimmest by much and the coolest is not the brightest. Colour is chosen on the fitting itself — it is a TRI Colour head, so 3000K, 4000K and 5500K are all in the box.
Two numbers describe the optics and they are easy to confuse. The beam is 36° — narrow, for lighting one thing well. The adjustment is 90° of tilt and 300° of swivel, which is how far the head moves in its mount. A 36° beam is tight enough that aiming genuinely matters, so allow for reaching the head after the ceiling or wall is finished.
Over a single painting, above a bookcase, on a feature wall, or as a discreet reading light aimed at a chair. It is rated IP20, which means indoor, dry locations only — not a bathroom zone, not under an eave, not anywhere spray reaches. The body is powder-coated aluminium with a glass lens, available in black or white, so it can be matched to the ceiling or deliberately contrasted with it.
It is Class 1 and requires an earth, and installation is a licensed electrician’s job under AS/NZS 3000. It is Triac dimmable; the accessory Havit names on the data sheet is the HV9625 300W LED Dial Dimmer, which we carry. The base measures 81 × 71 mm; Havit gives the remaining outline as a drawing on the data sheet rather than a table, so check that drawing against your position — on a surface-mounted spot it is the projection, not the footprint, that decides whether it clears a cupboard door.
Havit supplies this fitting with a data sheet only, so there is no separate installation booklet and no additional warranty conditions attached to it beyond the standard three-year replacement term.
Lights For You keeps the whole Sbarra range on the shelf — this single spot and the two-, three- and four-light bars that use the same head — so a scheme can mix them and still match.
No. It wires directly to 240 V AC mains, so there is nothing extra to buy or find room for. It is a Class 1 fitting, which means the circuit must be earthed — that is an electrician’s job under AS/NZS 3000, not a plug-in installation.
No. The LED is built into each head, so there is no lamp base, no globe to source and nothing to change. The trade-off is the usual one for an integrated fitting: at end of life the head is replaced rather than relamped. Havit rates the LED at more than 30,000 hours.
No. It is rated IP20 — indoor, dry locations only. That excludes bathroom zones, covered outdoor areas and anywhere spray or condensation can reach. A weather-rated fitting is the right answer for those positions.
It is Triac dimmable, so a conventional leading-edge wall dimmer controls it. The accessory Havit names on the data sheet is the HV9625 300W LED Dial Dimmer, and we stock it. Our own advice, not the supplier’s: settle the dimmer at quoting stage. LED loads are small, and a dimmer sized for incandescent lamps can behave oddly at the bottom of its range.
4000K. Output peaks in the middle of the TRI Colour switch and eases at both ends, so it does not simply rise as the colour gets cooler — 3000K is the lowest reading, 4000K the highest, 5500K in between. The spread is only about 12% end to end, which the eye does not really read, so choose the colour that suits the room rather than chasing the number.
It is the same head and the same electronics on a small round base instead of a rail. The 2-, 3- and 4-light Sbarra bars simply carry two, three or four of these heads on one plate, so a single spot and a bar in the same room read as one family. Pick the single where one object needs lighting and a bar where a run does.
