Sbarra 2 Light Bar

Two independently aimed heads on a single 201 mm rail, surface mounted to a ceiling or a wall and wired straight to 240 V mains. The Sbarra two-light is the shortest of the bars, and it earns its place where a pair of things need lighting from one point — the two ends of a bench, a pair of prints, the run either side of a doorway.

Two heads, and what the published figures describe

Each head carries its own built-in LED — two 8 W heads — so the fitting draws 16 W in total and produces 1,280 lm at 3000K, 1,440 lm at 4000K and 1,360 lm at 5500K, which is 2 × 640, 2 × 720 and 2 × 680 lm. We publish the totals because that is what the fitting actually makes; the per-head figure describes half of it, and quoting the half is how a two-light bar ends up looking no brighter than a single spot on a comparison page.

Output peaks at 4000K rather than at the cool end of the switch, so the middle position on the TRI Colour selector is the brightest of the three.

Beam and adjustment are different numbers

The beam is 36° per head — narrow and directional. The adjustment is 90° of tilt and 300° of swivel, per head and independently, which is the range the head can be moved through once it is up. With two heads that independence is the whole point: they can be splayed to cover two targets or brought parallel to double up on one.

Where it works

Kitchen benches and islands, a hallway with two pictures on it, a study, a small retail display. IP20 means indoor, dry locations only — no bathroom zone, no covered outdoor position, nothing exposed to spray. The rail and heads are powder-coated aluminium with glass lenses and come in black or white.

Specifying and installing it

Class 1: an earth is required, and a licensed electrician installs it under AS/NZS 3000. It is Triac dimmable, and the dimmer Havit names on its data sheet is the HV9625 300W LED Dial Dimmer. The plate measures 201 × 71 mm; the rest of the outline is a drawing on the data sheet rather than a dimensioned table, so compare that drawing with the position before ordering. Havit issues a data sheet and no separate installation booklet for this range, so there are no additional install conditions to observe beyond the standard three-year replacement warranty.
