The Samona WB is a 350 mm two-light wall fitting in antique gold with textured glass — two E14 globes to 25 W each, not supplied.
The Samona's glass is textured, not frosted, and the difference is the whole character of the fitting. Frosted glass diffuses: it hides the globe and glows as an even surface. Textured glass refracts: it breaks the light into bright and shadowed facets, so the shade has depth and movement and you catch the globe through it.
That is what our copy meant by “subtly artisanal” — a textured surface reads as made rather than moulded, and it is what stops antique gold and glass looking like a hotel corridor.
E14 to 25 W each, 50 W in total, none supplied. Because the glass is textured rather than opaque, the globes are part of what you see, so:
Dimming depends on the globes. Our record says “No”; the datasheet says globe dependent, and the datasheet is right — nothing in a fitting holding two E14s prevents dimming. On textured glass dimming is particularly worth having: at low output the facets are most of what you see. Ask us and we will match a dimmable pair to your dimmer.
200 mm wide, 350 mm high, projecting 120 mm, at 1.3 kg. The backplate is only 80 mm on a fitting 200 mm across, which is what makes it appear to stand off the wall rather than be bolted to it — the visible mounting is much smaller than the fitting.
The 120 mm projection is moderate: enough to give the glass presence, little enough that it is not an obstruction in a hallway the way the deeper fittings in this range are.
Antique rather than polished. A polished gold frame beside a textured glass shade competes with it — two shiny surfaces, both reflecting. Antique gold is slightly darkened and uneven, so it recedes and the glass stays the brightest thing in the fitting, which is what you are buying.
It is Class I — earth required and hard-wired, and IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. A licensed electrician installs it.
Samona runs as pendants and wall lights in several sizes, all in the same textured glass. So a room can carry a pendant over the table and these on the wall without repeating the same fitting — which is the useful way to use a range like this.
200 mm wide by 350 mm high, projection 120 mm, backplate 80 mm, 1.3 kg, in iron and textured glass, antique gold. Two E14 globes to 25 W each — 50 W total, not supplied; dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.

Frosted diffuses — it hides the globe and glows as an even surface. Textured refracts — it breaks the light into bright and shadowed facets, so the shade has depth and movement and you catch the globe through it. That is what makes the Samona read as made rather than moulded.
Two E14 — the small screw base — to 25 W each, none supplied. Buy a matching pair in a warm 2700 K: the globes are part of what you see through textured glass, and cool white through antique gold looks wrong.
With the right globes, yes. Our record says “No”; the datasheet says globe dependent, and nothing in a fitting holding two E14s prevents dimming. On textured glass it is particularly worth having — at low output the facets are most of what you see.
25 W per globe, 50 W in total. Our on-page table stated that correctly as “2 x 25W”; the metafield records only 25.
120 mm — moderate. Enough to give the glass presence, little enough that it is not an obstruction in a hallway, unlike the deeper fittings in this range.
Because polished gold beside textured glass competes with it — two shiny surfaces, both reflecting. Antique gold is slightly darkened and uneven, so it recedes and the glass stays the brightest thing in the fitting.
Yes — Samona runs as pendants and wall lights in several sizes, all in the same textured glass, so a room can carry a pendant over the table and these on the wall without repeating a fitting.
