Product Description
xThe Samona PE08 is an eight-light pendant in antique gold with textured glass shades — eight E14 globes to 25 W each, not supplied, 420 mm wide by 470 mm high, on a 2,000 mm suspension.
⚠ The eight-light is NARROWER than the six-light, and taller — and there is a likely reason.

The three and six share exactly the same height — 310 mm — which is what a single tier of shades looks like in a dimension table. The eight is 160 mm taller and 130 mm narrower, which is what a two-tier arrangement looks like: the shades stacked in two levels rather than spread across one.
That is the likely reading, and we have asked Telbix to confirm it — we are not going to assert it from a dimension table. If you are choosing between the six and the eight for a specific table, ask us first: they are different objects, not two sizes of one.
Which one for your room
- The PE06 at 550 mm wide and 310 high is a broad, low fitting — it spreads along a long dining table and stays out of sightlines.
- The PE08 at 420 mm wide and 470 high has vertical presence. It suits a round or square table, an entry, or a room with height to fill — and it gives eight sources instead of six, so a third more light.
Eight globes — and the textured glass makes it easy
Eight E14 to 25 W each — 200 W total, not supplied. E14 is the small screw base, SES.
Because the textured glass breaks up the source rather than displaying it, the eight globes do not need to match visually — which on an eight-globe fitting saves real trouble. What they do need:
- Warm 2700 K — against antique gold, cool white reads green.
- A compact shape, since textured glass partly reveals; a large decorative globe shows as a shadow.
- If you intend to dim, the same brand for all eight.
It dims, with the right globes — our record says “No”, the datasheet and page both say globe dependent, and they are right. Eight LEDs on one dimmer is the hardest flicker case in this range. Do not mix brands. Ask us for a matched set of eight.
200 watts of capacity, and what that means now
200 W is the fitting's maximum, from the era when eight globes meant eight incandescent lamps. With LED E14s at 4 to 6 W, the real draw is around 40 W — a fifth of the rating — while the light output is comparable to the old 200. You are nowhere near the limit, which also means the fitting runs cool.
⚠ No weight is recorded for an eight-light iron and glass pendant — and none for the three or the six either. On a fitting of this size, hanging on two metres of suspension, that is the figure your electrician needs before the ceiling is opened. Ask us.
Textured glass — the character of the range
Textured rather than clear or opal: the glass has moulded relief, so each shade catches light across its own surface and the globe inside is softened and broken up rather than hidden or exposed. That is what the range copy means by “modern yet subtly artisanal” — clean shapes with a tactile surface, so the fitting reads as made rather than manufactured.
The Samona range is unusually complete — a batten fix, a wall light, and pendants in three, six and eight, all in the same textured glass and antique gold. A whole floor can carry one language: the batten fix in the hall, the wall lights on a landing, this over the dining table.

Why is the eight-light narrower than the six?
Almost certainly because the shades are arranged in two tiers rather than one. The three and six share exactly the same 310 mm height, which is what a single tier looks like in a dimension table; the eight is 160 mm taller and 130 mm narrower, which is what two tiers look like. For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
