The Domus CHAM-REM-3C is a handheld RF and Bluetooth remote for RGBW LED strip — dimming, colour, colour-change speed and scene memory — with a magnetic back and a mounting bracket. 160 × 40 × 20 mm.
⛔ On its own, this remote does nothing. It transmits to the CHAM-BT-RF-5C receiver, which sits between your driver and your LED strip and does the actual work.
⚠ The receiver is listed in this catalogue as the "Bluetooth RF 5-1 Universal Controller" — a name containing neither "CHAM" nor "receiver", which is why nothing on either page connects them. A colour installation needs four things: a constant-voltage driver, the receiver, the RGBW strip, and this remote.
✅ All three CHAM remotes share that one receiver, so the remote follows the strip rather than the hardware.
| Remote | Controls |
|---|---|
| CHAM-REM-1C | Single colour — dimming and scenes |
| CHAM-REM-2C | Tunable white — white point, dimming, scenes, two zones |
| CHAM-REM-3C (this) | RGBW — colour, speed, dimming, scenes |
✅ Tell us the strip you are running and we will specify the matching remote and the receiver.
Handheld RF + Bluetooth RGBW remote control — dimming, colour, colour-change speed and scene memory. 160 × 40 × 20 mm, with a magnetic back and a mounting bracket.
⛔ Requires the CHAM-BT-RF-5C receiver — sold separately, listed as the "Bluetooth RF 5-1 Universal Controller". The remote does nothing without it. ⚠ Battery type, RF range and scene count are not recorded in any source — ask us and we will confirm. ⚠ Figures here are from the product record and Domus's description; the datasheet did not yield readable values. Warranty 3 years.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
No. It is a transmitter — it needs the CHAM-BT-RF-5C receiver, which sits between your driver and your LED strip and does the actual work. The receiver is sold separately and listed in this catalogue as the "Bluetooth RF 5-1 Universal Controller", a name containing neither "CHAM" nor "receiver". A colour installation needs four things: a constant-voltage driver, the receiver, the RGBW strip and this remote.
Follow the strip. Single colour: the 1C. Tunable white: the 2C, which also handles two zones. RGB or RGBW: this 3C. All three work with the same receiver, so the receiver choice does not constrain you. Tell us what strip you are running and we will specify the matching remote.
A dedicated white channel. RGB makes white by mixing red, green and blue, which gives a visible colour cast; RGBW adds a fourth channel with a proper white LED. Most colour installations spend most of their time on white, so if yours will, the strip should be RGBW — and this remote handles it either way.
It runs a changing-colour mode and lets you speed it up or slow it down. That is the control most colour installations actually need: the choice is rarely "which colour" and usually "how fast, and how subtle". A slow drift in a media room reads as considered; the same colours cycling quickly read as a disco.
It holds the remote to the supplied bracket, and it matters more than it sounds. A remote that has a place on the wall gets used; one that lives in a drawer does not — and a colour installation stuck on whatever it was left on is far more conspicuous than a plain one. Mount the bracket where a light switch would be. It still lifts off to use from the sofa, which a fixed plate cannot do.
Neither is recorded. Its tunable-white sibling takes two AAA cells, but we are not assuming the same for this one. No RF range figure exists in any source either — in practice handsets of this kind work across a normal room and through a plasterboard wall, and RF needs no line of sight, which is what lets the receiver hide in a ceiling void. Ask us and we will confirm both.
Yes — the CHAM-TOUCH-3C is the mains-wired glass wall plate with the same RGBW controls, and it talks to the same receiver. The sensible combination is the plate for everyday use where people look for a control, this remote for the sofa, and Bluetooth from a phone for setting scenes.
