Product Description
xThe Roth EX14 is a 140 mm square solar exterior wall light in black — 1.3 W giving 110 lm at 3000 K, IP54 — with no wiring at all.
There is nothing to install and no electrician needed. It is solar — it charges itself and runs at 3.7 V off an internal battery. The old page said the fitting “must be installed by a licensed electrician” in the same description that called it wire-free. You screw it to a wall.
⚠ We cannot tell you how long it runs, or how long it takes to charge. No source we hold records the battery capacity, the run time, the charge time or the solar panel rating — and on a solar light those four numbers are the specification. Everything else about it is secondary. Ask us and we will get them from Telbix before you order. We have chosen not to guess.
Solar changes where a light can go
That is the entire point. With no cable and no switch, the Roth goes on a fence, a shed, a garden wall, a gatepost — anywhere a wired fitting would mean trenching or a spur. In a rental it goes up and comes down again with four screws. It is the only kind of exterior light that costs nothing to install.
110 lumens — and be honest about what that is
1.3 W giving 110 lm. That is a marker, not a light. It will show where a step or a gate is and put a soft glow on the wall around it. It will not light a path to walk down, and it is not a security light. Warm 3000 K, CRI above 80, not dimmable.
Aluminium and glass, not plastic
Most solar exterior lights are moulded plastic. The Roth is aluminium with a glass lens — which is why it can sit beside wired fittings without looking like a garden-centre accessory, and why it weighs 0.61 kg rather than a few grams.
IP54 is a splash rating, not an all-weather one. Dust-protected and rated against splashing water. It will take rain reaching a wall; it is not rated against jets, and it should not sit where a sprinkler hits it or where water pools. It also needs direct sun on the panel for a useful part of the day — a north-facing wall in a shaded courtyard will not charge it.

Questions
Do I need an electrician?

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
