Product Description
xThe Roth EX20 is a 200 mm solar exterior wall light in black — 1.3 W giving 150 lm at 3000 K, IP54 — with no wiring at all.
There is nothing to install and no electrician needed. It is solar, running at 3.7 V off an internal battery. The old page said the fitting “must be installed by a licensed electrician” two sentences after saying “no wiring required”. You screw it to a wall.
⚠ Run time, charge time, battery capacity and panel rating are not recorded anywhere. On a solar light those four numbers are the specification. Ask us and we will get them from Telbix before you order. We have chosen not to guess at them.
The wider of two, and it is the better proportion beside a door
200 mm wide by 140 mm high, against the small Roth’s 140 mm square. The wider format reads as a horizontal bar rather than a box, which sits better beside a door or above a gate — and it carries 150 lm against 110, roughly a third more light for the same 1.3 W. The larger panel is doing that work.
Still a marker, not a light
150 lm is more than the small one and still small in absolute terms. It will show a gate, a step or a doorway and glow against the wall. It will not light a path to walk down, and it is not a security light. Warm 3000 K, CRI above 80, not dimmable.
Aluminium and glass
Not moulded plastic — aluminium with a glass lens, at 0.71 kg. That is why it can hang beside wired fittings on the same facade without looking out of place, which is unusual for anything solar.
IP54 is a splash rating. Dust-protected and rated against splashing water — rain reaching a wall is fine, jets and sprinklers are not. And it needs direct sun on the panel for a useful part of the day: a shaded courtyard will not charge it.

Questions
Do I need an electrician?
No — it is solar. The old page said one was required two sentences after saying “no wiring required”. You screw it to a wall.
How long does it run on a charge?
We do not know, and we will not guess. Battery capacity, run time, charge time and panel rating are recorded nowhere — and on a solar light those four numbers are the specification. Ask us and we will get them from Telbix.
Small or large Roth?
The large is 200 mm wide against the small’s 140 mm square, so it reads as a horizontal bar rather than a box — better beside a door or above a gate. It also gives 150 lm against 110, about a third more light for the same wattage, because the panel is bigger.
How bright is it?
150 lm — enough to show a gate, a step or a doorway and glow against the wall. Not enough to light a path to walk down, and not a security light.
Where can I mount it?
Anywhere with no power, as long as the panel gets direct sun for a useful part of the day. A shaded courtyard will not charge it.
Will it survive the weather?

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
