RONDO DOWNLIGHT 3CCT DIM

The Rondo DL105 is a ø105 mm recessed downlight — 9 W for 800 lm at CRI above 90, three colour temperatures, TRIAC dimmable, IP44 and IC-4 rated — into a 90 mm cut-out.

IC-4 — you can cover it with insulation

This is the specification that decides whether a downlight is legal in a modern ceiling. An IC-4 rating means building insulation can be laid directly over and around it, with no clearance and no gap to cut. In a retrofit that saves an argument with the insulation, and in a new build it keeps the ceiling’s thermal performance intact — a non-IC downlight forces a hole in the insulation above every single fitting.

IP44, so it can go in a bathroom

Protected against splashing water from any direction. That makes the Rondo legitimate over a bathroom, shower surround or laundry, where an IP20 downlight is not. It is not an outdoor fitting, whatever our record says.

CRI above 90 and a 100° beam

>90 renders skin, timber and tile properly — which matters more in a bathroom mirror than almost anywhere else in a house. The 100° beam is wide, so fewer fittings cover a room evenly and you get fewer scallops on the walls.

Surge protection built in

1.5 kVA of surge protection — genuinely unusual at this size. Downlights die in numbers after a storm or a grid event; this one has a margin built in. Power factor is >0.80.

Three colour temperatures, including 5700 K

3000 K, 4000 K or 5700 K — note that the cool setting is 5700 K, higher than the usual 5000 K, so it is genuinely daylight-toned. Set at installation.

And it dims

TRIAC (leading-edge), the common Australian type — so a run of Rondos dims together from one dimmer. Check compatibility with us if yours is trailing-edge or smart.
