A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Raker G23 is a 62 mm two-way inground light in black — 24 V, 3 W giving 14 lm at 3000 K, CRI above 95, IP65.
⚠ Two things to settle before you specify it.
The Raker throws light through two opposed slots rather than one, which is why it gives 14 lm where the one-way version gives 8. That near-doubling is the two sizes confirming each other: the aperture count sets the output, and the figures behave exactly as they should.
14 lumens is very small, and that is deliberate. The Raker is a marker and a grazing light, not an illuminator. Set into a path edge, a step, or against a wall, the two-way version washes light in both directions along the surface — which is how you light a path without floodlighting a garden. Anyone expecting an uplight for a tree wants a spike, not an inground marker: ask us about the Rilto.
Equal highest in this catalogue, with the Rilto spike and the Malabo bollard. Grazing a brick wall, a stone step or a timber deck at close range is exactly where colour rendering shows: at CRI 80 the material goes flat and grey; at 95 the texture and the colour of the surface come back. On a fitting whose whole job is to graze a surface, that is the specification that matters.
24 volts — a transformer is required and is not supplied. The transformer must sit somewhere dry, be sized for the whole run and be wired by an electrician. We stock a 24 V 60 W and a 200 W outdoor unit; at 3 W each the 60 W drives a long run of Rakers. Tell us your layout and we will size it.
Class III low voltage also means the cable running through your beds is low voltage — far safer around spades and roots than mains, and much easier to extend later.
62 mm wide and 85 mm deep, into a 56 mm cutout, at 0.22 kg.
The cutout is recorded, which is worth noting — several recessed fittings in this catalogue do not record theirs. The 1,000 mm cable is what decides how far the joint can be, and on an inground fitting that joint has to be in a dry, accessible housing. Plan it before the paving or the mulch goes down.
Raker comes as one-way, two-way and four-way. The one-way throws in a single direction — against a wall or a riser. This two-way washes along a path or a step from a single point. The four-way throws in all directions, for an open position where the fitting is the centre of the effect.
It is not dimmable, and the LED is integrated and included — nothing to buy and nothing to replace. A licensed electrician wires the transformer.
62 mm across by 85 mm deep, cutout 56 mm, cable 1,000 mm, 0.22 kg, in aluminium and glass, black. Integrated 3 W LED giving 14 lm at 3000 K through two opposed apertures, included, CRI >95, not dimmable. 24 V — a transformer is REQUIRED and is not supplied; we stock 60 W and 200 W. Class III low voltage, IP65 — jet-rated, NOT immersion-rated; set it where the ground drains. Load rating not recorded — ask us. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
No source records a load rating, which on a light set flush into the ground is the first question. Assume it is a garden-bed and edge fitting rather than a driveway one, and ask us before putting it anywhere a car or a wheelbarrow goes. We are asking Telbix.
It is rated against water jets but not against immersion — IP67 adds that. An inground fitting sits exactly where water pools after rain, so set it where the ground drains: not in a hollow, not at the bottom of a slope.
Because it is a marker and a grazing light, not an illuminator. Set into a path edge, a step or against a wall, the two-way version washes light in both directions along the surface — which is how you light a path without floodlighting a garden. If you want to uplight a tree you want a spike; ask us about the Rilto.
One-way throws in a single direction, against a wall or a riser. Two-way washes along a path or step from one point. Four-way throws in all directions, for an open position where the fitting is the centre of the effect. The output follows the apertures: 8 lm one-way, 14 lm two-way.
Because its whole job is to graze a surface at close range. At CRI 80 brick, stone and timber go flat and grey; at 95 — equal highest in this catalogue — the texture and colour come back.
Yes, and none is supplied. It must sit somewhere dry, be sized for the run and be wired by an electrician. We stock a 24 V 60 W and a 200 W outdoor unit; at 3 W each the 60 W drives a long run. Tell us your layout.
A 56 mm cutout, for a 62 mm fitting 85 mm deep. The cable is 1 metre, and the joint must sit in a dry accessible housing — plan that before the paving or mulch goes down.
