Quilo Floor Lamp

The Quilo floor lamp is 1,520 mm tall with a ø380 mm shade built from smoke glass rods, in black.

The rods are the design

The shade is assembled from individual glass rods rather than moulded as one piece. Each rod carries light down its length and finishes in a bright point, so from a seated position you see a ring of vertical highlights rather than a single glowing shade. It is the same effect as the Quilo pendant, at eye level where you can actually study it.

Smoke keeps the rods legible

Smoked glass transmits less light and tints what passes through, so the individual rods stay distinct instead of blurring into a wash.

Not a reading lamp

Worth being straight about: a rod shade scatters light in every direction and softens it. The Quilo is atmosphere rather than task light. Beside a chair you want to read in, the Vale's double-layered shade or the Marthos's boom arm will serve you far better.

A wide base for a tall lamp

ø380 mm at the foot. Check the clearance beside a sofa before choosing a spot — it needs the floor area.

Quilo runs to pendants in several configurations, a table lamp and this floor lamp, all with the same rod treatment.

E27 to 25 W, not supplied

A warm globe suits the smoked glass; cool white flattens it.
