Pyrus Exterior LED Bollard Light

The Pyrus is a 750 mm exterior LED bollard in black sand — integrated 12 W giving 650 lm at 3000 K, IP65, at 1.5 kg.

650 lumens — and this one genuinely lights a path

That is the distinction worth drawing. Most garden fittings in this catalogue mark; the Pyrus lights:

At 750 mm the light sits at about waist height and casts down onto the ground, so you see the surface you are walking on rather than a row of glowing objects. On a driveway or an entry path used after dark, that is the difference between decoration and use.

IP65 — and on a bollard that is the rating you want

Protection against water jets from any direction. A bollard stands in the open: it takes rain from every angle, sprinklers and the hose, and it sits in the zone where irrigation actually hits things.

Sealed LED — the trade to understand

The LED is integrated, included and sealed at a fixed 3000 K, and it is not dimmable.

• The advantage: nothing to buy, nothing to match across a run of six, and no lamp holder for water to find — which is part of how it reaches IP65 where the E27 bollards sit lower.
• The trade: when the diode eventually fails, the fitting is finished — you replace the bollard, not a globe. The Gorem and Kenra bollards take a replaceable E27 if that matters more to you than the rating.

At 54 lm/W the Pyrus is reasonably efficient for a diffused outdoor fitting, and at 12 W a run of six draws less than a single old outdoor floodlight.

195 mm wide, and 1.5 kg

A broad, low-slung bollard rather than a slim post — 195 mm across is wide for the type, which gives it presence at the edge of a drive and a larger lit surface to throw light from.

The sand finish, and what it is made of

Sand-textured black, which outdoors is the right call — gloss shows salt, dust and water marks and a textured coat does not, and on a fitting at ankle-to-waist height that gets splashed by rain off a path, it matters more than usual.

Where it works

• Entry paths and driveway edges — 650 lm genuinely lights the ground.
• Open garden beds and coastal positions — IP65, no shelter needed.
• In runs, where nothing needs matching because the LED is sealed.
• ⚠ Low voltage — tell us how many you are installing so we can confirm the driver.
• ⚠ 1.5 kg — fix it down properly. The Gorem bollard is 2.7 kg.

750 mm high by 195 mm wide, 1.5 kg, in polycarbonate, black sand finish. Integrated 12 W LED giving 650 lm at 3000 K, included and sealed, CRI >80, not dimmable. Class III — low voltage, under 54 V; a driver is involved and is not described in any source — ask us, IP65 — fully exposed positions, including open garden beds. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
