A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Pinta with an eyelid is a small round surface-mounted exterior light that most people use at step, path and retaining-wall height. This listing is the solid brass version, and the brass is the fitting — not a coating over aluminium. Havit gives the material as Solid Brass with the colour as Brass, and the face carries a fixed eyelid hood that throws the light down and forward rather than out at eye level.
Two part numbers, and the difference is the supply, not the finish.
HV2903T-BR runs on 240 V AC and is wired to mains with an earth
— Havit lists it as protection class 1 (Requires Earth).
HV2904T-BR runs on 12 V DC, is protection class
3 (No Earth Required), and needs an appropriate 12 V DC constant-voltage
LED driver: Havit's instructions say, in capitals, DO NOT CONNECT LIGHT FITTING DIRECTLY
TO 240V. The two are otherwise the same fitting at the same price, so choose on the circuit you
already have. There is no driver in the 240 V circuit at all.
Light output is identical on both. The LED is built in — there is no globe to buy and no lampholder — and it is tri-colour selectable: 3000 K at 160 lm, 4000 K at 170 lm, 5500 K at 180 lm, drawing a maximum of 2.3 W. Beam angle is 120°, colour rendering is CRI>80, and the diffuser is glass. The fitting leaves the factory preset to 3000 K; to change it, the electrician moves the switch above the PCB during installation. Havit rates the LED at >30,000 hours. It is not dimmable on either supply.
Installation, and the two conditions that affect the warranty. It is Wall — Surface Mounted: a base plate goes on the wall first, and every hole in it — cable entry and screw holes alike — must be sealed. The tail is 300 mm long. There is no terminal block on these two models: the cable run and the fitting are stripped, twisted, soldered, and covered with adhesive-lined heat shrink or a gel cap. Havit is explicit that failure to do this will void warranty. Where more than one fitting is on a run, the wiring must be in parallel. On the 12 V version only, Havit adds a low-voltage limit: the voltage at the fitting must be within ±5% of the required voltage and it cannot sit more than 25 m from the LED driver, or the warranty is void. That limit does not apply to the 240 V part number, which has no driver.
Brass tarnishes, and that is normal. Havit's own data sheet states that
solid brass and solid copper fittings will naturally tarnish, and that coated brass finishes
(the antique brass and graphite models in the same range) may tarnish through the coating outdoors.
This one is uncoated solid brass, so expect it to move from bright to a darker patina. Sealed to
IP65 and rated IK10 for impact, it carries Havit's
3 Years Replacement warranty on items ordered after 01-01-2022, provided the o-rings
and seals are correctly in place. Havit also lists small, medium and large IP67 weatherproof connectors
(HV9911, HV9912, HV9913) as compatible accessories, and we stock
all three. Lights For You keeps both Pinta brass part numbers on the shelf so an electrician can be
sent the right supply the first time.
HV2903T-BR is the 240 V AC fitting and is wired to mains with an earth. HV2904T-BR is the 12 V DC fitting and must run from a 12 V DC constant-voltage LED driver. They are the same brass fitting at the same price, so the choice is purely the circuit you are wiring into.
Only for the 12 V part number. HV2904T-BR requires an appropriate 12 V DC constant-voltage LED driver, and Havit warns in capitals never to connect it straight to 240 V. HV2903T-BR is a mains fitting — no driver, and it takes an earth conductor.
Yes, and it is a warranty condition rather than advice. On the 12 V part number HV2904T-BR, Havit requires the voltage at the fitting to be within ±5% of the required voltage and the fitting to sit no more than 25 m from its 12 V LED driver. Beyond that the warranty is void. It is a low-voltage condition and does not apply to the 240 V version, which has no driver.
None. The LED is built into the fitting, so there is no globe and no lampholder to match. That also means the 120° beam and the tri-colour selection belong to the fitting itself rather than to a lamp you buy separately.
It arrives preset to 3000 K. During installation the electrician moves the switch above the PCB to select 4000 K or 5500 K instead. Output changes with the setting: 160 lm at 3000 K, 170 lm at 4000 K and 180 lm at 5500 K.
No, and Havit says so on the data sheet: solid brass and solid copper fittings tarnish naturally. Outdoors this one will darken to a patina over time. If you want that look kept even across a run, install the whole run at once so they age together. Coated finishes in the same range can tarnish through the coating, which is a different and less predictable outcome.
No. Havit lists this fitting as not dimmable, on both the 240 V and the 12 V part numbers. Putting a dimmer in front of either is outside what Havit publishes for it.
