Pelase is a surface-mounted step light with a gently curved face, and unlike most fittings in this category it is made from solid brass rather than aluminium. That single material choice is why it is specified: brass weathers instead of failing, developing a patina in coastal and exposed positions where powder-coated aluminium eventually chalks and blisters.

Surface-mounted, not recessed

Nothing needs to be cut into the structure — it fixes to the face of a wall or riser. That makes it the practical option on existing masonry, rendered walls or finished stonework where coring a recess is not worth the damage.

Where it works
  • Coastal and salt-exposed sites — solid brass in antique brass, natural brass, black or white.
  • Existing walls and steps — surface mounting avoids cutting into a finished surface.
  • Paths, stairs and low walls — at 80 mm wide and 14 mm proud, it marks the way without dominating.
Specifying it

Built-in 3 W tri-colour LED selecting 3000K, 4000K or 5500K, producing 240–250 lm. IP65 and IK10 with a frosted polycarbonate diffuser and a 120° spread. Available in 12V DC (no earth required) or 240V (earth required). CRI above 80. 3-year replacement warranty; install by a licensed electrician.

Common questions
Why solid brass rather than aluminium?

Brass weathers instead of failing — it develops a patina in coastal and exposed positions where powder-coated aluminium chalks and blisters.

Does it need a recess cut?

No. It is surface-mounted, so it fixes to the face of a wall or riser without coring into finished masonry.

Do I need a driver?

Only for the 12V DC version. The 240V version wires straight to mains and requires an earth.

Is a globe included?

No globe is needed — it has a built-in 3 W tri-colour LED with nothing to replace.

Is it weatherproof?

Yes. IP65 and IK10 with a frosted polycarbonate diffuser.

What light output does it give?

240 lm at 3000K, 245 lm at 4000K and 250 lm at 5500K, across a 120° spread.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.

Your Options

  • Restocking fee: 20% will apply unless otherwise stated, or unless another order of equal or greater value is placed in lieu of this re-stocking fee.
  • Credit: will be issued in the form of store credit and will be equal to the price paid.
