Patino 20Cm Pendant Light

The Patino PE20 is a 200 mm glass sphere pendant in amber, smoke or green — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied, on a 2,000 mm suspension.

Tinted glass — and the colour changes the light, not just the look

All three Patinos are tinted, not frosted, so the globe is visible and the glass colours the light on its way out. The three do quite different things:

• Amber — a warm golden tint that adds warmth to an already-warm globe. The light reads candle-like, and the sphere looks bright and jewel-like when lit. The most flattering over a table.
• Smoke — a grey tint that cuts and cools the output. Dimmer, more restrained, and the sphere stays a dark object when off.
• Green — genuinely unusual in this catalogue, and the most decisive. It tints the light green, which is a strong choice in a room and works best where there is timber, brass or plants to answer it. As a colour on the shelf it is striking; as a light it is a commitment.

Hang it above eye level

Because the source is visible, a Patino at seated eye height across a table is uncomfortable to look at. Over a bench, in a stairwell, at the end of a hallway, or in a run well above an island, it does exactly what it is for.

200 mm — small, and built for runs

200 mm wide by 280 mm high, on a 100 mm canopy with 2,000 mm of adjustable drop. At this size a single Patino is a detail; three or five in a run is a composition, and it is how the range is meant to be used. The Patino comes in three sizes, so a larger one over a table with these along a bench is a coherent scheme.

Where it works

• In runs of three or five over benches and islands, above eye level.
• Stairwells and hallway ends, singly.
• Mixed colours in one run — amber, smoke and green together.
• ⚠ The globe is visible — buy a decorative filament, not a capsule.
• ⚠ Do not hang it at seated eye height.

200 mm wide by 280 mm high, canopy 100 mm by 25 mm in black, suspension 2,000 mm and adjustable, in iron and tinted glass. Weight is not recorded — ask us. One E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied and visible; dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
