The Parola is a 400 mm table lamp — mouth-blown glass sitting on an oversized metal tube that hides the light source — in black/amber, gold/smoke or nickel/clear.

The tube hides the globe entirely

This is the design. The metal cylinder is deliberately oversized so the globe sits inside it, out of sight, and only the glass above is lit. You never see a bulb, from any angle — which is why it works on a low side table where most lamps put the globe at eye level.

Three glass and metal pairings

Black with amber is the warmest — amber glass tints the light golden as it passes. Gold with smoke is the moodiest, transmitting least. Nickel with clear is the brightest and coolest. Same lamp, three genuinely different lights.

A 1960s form

Simple cylinder, simple sphere, no ornament. It is a period reference done straight, which is why it sits in a contemporary room without looking like a reproduction.

Mouth-blown, so each differs

The ø250 mm glass is blown by hand — slight variation in form and wall thickness is inherent to the process.

E27 to 25 W, not supplied

Because the globe is hidden, a plain warm globe is all you need — there is no point paying for a decorative filament nobody will see.

Can you see the globe?

No. The metal tube is deliberately oversized so the globe sits inside it, out of sight from any angle — only the glass above is lit.

Which version should I choose?

Black with amber tints the light golden; gold with smoke is the moodiest and dimmest; nickel with clear is the brightest and coolest.

Which globe should I fit?

A plain warm one. The globe is hidden, so a decorative filament would be wasted.

Will the glass match a second one exactly?

Very closely. It is mouth-blown, so form and wall thickness vary slightly.

How big is it?

Does it need an electrician?

No. It is double insulated and plugs into a normal socket.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.

Your Options

  • Restocking fee: 20% will apply unless otherwise stated, or unless another order of equal or greater value is placed in lieu of this re-stocking fee.
  • Credit: will be issued in the form of store credit and will be equal to the price paid.
