The Domus PARIS 1LT is a single-lantern post light — 2240 mm high, 175 mm wide, die-cast aluminium and moulded acrylic, IP43, 1 × B22, in five colours.
| Height | Lantern | ⭐ Lamp access |
|---|---|---|
| 1.26 m | ⚠ Below eye level, seen directly | ⭐ Standing |
| 1.89 m | ⭐ Just above head height | ⭐ A low step |
| ⭐ 2.24 m (this) | ⭐ Well above head height | ⚠ A ladder |
⭐ A 60 mm difference, consistent with the range. ⭐ Set out from 2240 mm.
⭐ IP43 covers spray to 60° from vertical, not jets. ⭐ A taller post has a real advantage here — ⭐ at 2.24 m the lantern is well clear of most garden sprinkler throw, ⚠ where a 1.26 m post sits right in it. ⭐ The base is still worth keeping clear.

Single-lantern exterior post light. 2240 mm high × 175 mm wide. Die-cast aluminium with moulded acrylic lens. IP43. 240 V AC. 1 × B22 lamp required, not included. Made in Italy, assembled and powder coated in Australia. Five colours. 12-month replacement warranty. Made to order, allow up to 10 business days. ⭐ TALL AND NARROW IS THE COMBINATION FOR A TIGHT POSITION — 2240mm high on a 175mm head, so it overhangs about 88mm where a two-light at similar height overhangs 305mm each side. ⭐ That makes it the Paris post for a boundary line, a narrow verge or a row against a fence — and it reads as a rhythm in a repeated row where wide heads read as a wall. ⚠ THE COST IS LAMP ACCESS: at 2.24m you need a ladder, so take long-life LED.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Width. At 175mm it carries the narrowest head in the Paris range, where a two-light at a similar height spans 610mm and overhangs 305mm each side. This one overhangs about 88mm. So where the position is constrained but you still want the height — a boundary line, a narrow verge, a row against a fence — this is the Paris post that fits.
Yes, noticeably. A row of narrow posts along a drive reads as a rhythm; a row of 610mm two-light heads reads as a wall. If you are repeating the fitting more than twice, the narrow head is usually the better composition.
Because well above head height is the right place for a lantern on an approach — you look under the light, the throw covers more ground, and nothing is at face level. The 1.26m version sits below eye level with the lantern seen directly, and the 1.89m version is just above head height.
Lamp access. At 2.24m you need a ladder, on a garden surface, and generally in the dark because that is when you notice the lamp has failed. Take long-life LED globes and accept the higher unit price — the labour of a change costs more than the lamp does.
2240mm. The title says 2.3m — a 60mm difference, consistent with the rest of the Paris range, where every post runs 50 to 80mm shorter than its title. Set out from 2240mm.
Yes, and this is a real advantage. IP43 covers spray to 60 degrees from vertical but not jets, and at 2.24m the lantern is well clear of most garden sprinkler throw — where a 1.26m post sits right in it. The base is still worth keeping clear of sprinkler heads.
No — 1 x B22 bayonet globe is required and not included, so the post is concreted in and does not light until a lamp arrives. Order it with the post. No maximum wattage is published, which matters in an enclosed acrylic lantern, so prefer LED.
