DOMUS PARIS 1LT 2.3M POSTLIGHT B22

The Domus PARIS 1LT is a single-lantern post light — 2240 mm high, 175 mm wide, die-cast aluminium and moulded acrylic, IP43, 1 × B22, in five colours.

⭐ Tall and narrow — the combination for a tight position

• ⭐ At 2240 mm this is the tallest single-lantern Paris, ⭐ and at 175 mm it carries the narrowest head in the range.
• ⭐ That is a genuinely useful pairing, and it is the opposite of the two-light posts. ⭐ A 2-light at a similar height spans 610 mm and overhangs 305 mm each side — ⚠ which rules it out beside a narrow verge, a boundary fence or a footpath. ⭐ This one overhangs about 88 mm.
• ⭐ So where the position is constrained but the HEIGHT is wanted — a boundary line, a narrow verge, a row against a fence — this is the Paris post that fits.
• ⭐ It also makes a better repeated element. ⭐ A row of narrow posts along a drive reads as a rhythm; ⚠ a row of 610 mm two-light heads reads as a wall.

⭐ 2.24 m — above head height, and the lamp-access trade

• ⭐ Well above head height is the right place for a lantern on an approach — ⭐ you look under the light, the throw covers more ground, and nothing is at face level.
• ⚠ The cost is lamp changes: at 2.24 m you need a ladder, on a garden surface, in the dark, because that is when you notice. ⭐ Take long-life LED globes and accept the higher unit price — ⭐ the labour of a change costs more than the lamp.

⭐ IP43 covers spray to 60° from vertical, not jets. ⭐ A taller post has a real advantage here — ⭐ at 2.24 m the lantern is well clear of most garden sprinkler throw, ⚠ where a 1.26 m post sits right in it. ⭐ The base is still worth keeping clear.
