A 60 W outdoor transformer — 240 V mains in, 24 V DC out — for low-voltage garden and landscape lighting.
This is the part most people forget. Every 24 V fitting in the Telbix range — the Terin and Elgin wall and step lights, the Manus, Clovis and Rilto spikes, the Enoki set, the Raker inground — needs one of these. None of them include a transformer, and none of their pages say so.
Add up the wattage of every fitting on the circuit and stay comfortably under 60 W — the usual advice is to load a transformer to about 80% of its rating, so treat this as roughly 48 W of fittings. In practice that is generous: at 3 W each, it will run a dozen or more garden lights.
That is the point of low voltage. Rather than a driver per fitting, you run one transformer feeding a whole circuit — simpler to install, one thing to service, and everything on it switches together. Tell us your fitting list and we will size it, or step up to the 200 W version for a larger scheme.
Everything past the transformer runs at extra-low voltage — Class III. In a garden, where cable gets dug up, caught by an edger and sits in wet ground for years, that is a genuine safety margin rather than a technicality.
Published as IP67 — the lower of our two figures; the record says IP68. Either way it is rated for burial-adjacent, wet positions, not just a sheltered box. A 155 × 44 mm housing tucks behind planting, under a deck or into a garden bed, on a 1,500 mm mains tail.
Class II — no earth required on the mains side. It must still be wired in by a licensed electrician.
155 × 44 mm, mains tail 1,500 mm. 240 V AC in, 24 V DC out, 60 W capacity. Not dimmable. Class II — double insulated, no earth required, published as IP67 — the record says IP68. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty. ⚠ No height or weight is published — our sources have those figures transposed with the 200 W unit.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
If you are buying any 24 V Telbix fitting — Terin, Elgin, Manus, Clovis, Rilto, Enoki or Raker — yes. None of them include a transformer and none of their pages say so.
Load it to about 80% of its rating, so roughly 48 W of fittings. At 3 W each that is a dozen or more garden lights.
No — that is the point of low voltage. One transformer feeds a whole circuit: simpler to install, one thing to service, everything switches together.
Step up to the 200 W version. Tell us your fitting list and we will size it for you.
It is rated for wet positions — we publish IP67, and our record says IP68. It tucks behind planting, under a deck or into a garden bed.
No. It is wired to 240 V mains and needs a licensed electrician, even though the low-voltage side is safe.
The housing is 155 × 44 mm. We are not publishing a height or weight because our sources have those figures transposed with the 200 W unit.
