Ostel Single Exterior LED Wall Light

The Ostel EX1 is a 500 mm exterior LED wall light with ridged aluminium detailing — 14 W giving 820 lm, with switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K, IP54 — in black or white.

Three colour temperatures on an exterior fitting — genuinely useful

Almost every outdoor light is fixed at 3000 K. The Ostel switches between 3000 K warm, 4000 K natural and 5000 K cool, which matters more outside than in: warm suits brick, timber and render, while cool suits grey, concrete and dark cladding and reads as more secure. You choose after it is on the wall, against the actual surface, rather than guessing from a photograph.

The ridges are not decoration

The aluminium face is ridged, and lit from within that breaks the light into vertical bands rather than a flat wash. Against render or brick it gives the fitting texture at night — which is what stops a plain exterior bar looking like a bathroom light stuck outside.

820 lumens over a 90-degree beam

14 W giving 820 lm on a 90° spread — wide, which means it washes the wall broadly rather than casting two tight cones. At 500 mm tall and only 67 mm wide it is a stripe of light on the wall, and at that output it genuinely lights an entry rather than just marking it.

Class II, which simplifies the install

Double insulated — no earth required, at just 0.56 kg on a 130 mm backplate, projecting 60 mm. Aluminium body with a polycarbonate diffuser, which is the right choice outdoors: polycarbonate does not yellow or crack the way cheaper acrylic does. Not dimmable, and CRI above 80.

• Entries and facades — 820 lm actually lights the doorway.
• Porches, eaves and covered walkways.
• Against grey or concrete, switched to 4000 K or 5000 K.
• ⚠ Not on an exposed weather-side wall — IP54, not IP65.
• ⚠ Not dimmable — the switch changes colour only.
