Osada Floor Lamp 3Lt in Black

The Osada floor lamp is 1,800 mm tall with three square adjustable shades, in wood, iron and fabric — black with walnut and ivory.

Three shades, each aimed separately

This is what makes it more than a tall lamp. The three square shades adjust individually, so one lamp can put light on a book, across a room and up a wall at the same time. A single-shade floor lamp gives you one of those.

Square shades, which is unusual

Almost every fabric floor-lamp shade is round or conical. Square shades give hard edges and a defined rectangle of light — more graphic, and they line up with rectangular furniture rather than sitting against it.

1.8 metres is tall

Well above standing eye height, so the shades sit over a seated person's head. It needs the ceiling height and the floor area — in a small room it will crowd.

7.6 kg, on a foot switch

The weight keeps three offset shades stable. The 2 m cable carries a foot switch about 500 mm from the base, so you turn all three on without bending down.

Three E27 globes, not supplied

25 W each, 75 W total. Buy all three together — on a lamp where the shades are aimed in different directions, a mismatched colour temperature is very visible.
