The Orton PE7 is a 1,150 mm seven-light pendant on a wavy frame in antique gold or black — seven G9 globes at 6 W each, 42 W total, not supplied — with six interchangeable glass shades to choose from.
Seven lamp holders, not one. Our record lists 6 W, which is the figure per globe. Seven G9 holders at 6 W is 42 W total — and you need to buy seven globes. Budget for that when you order.
This is 1.15 metres of pendant, only 200 mm high and 120 mm deep. It is a linear fitting, made to run along a long dining table or a kitchen island, not to hang over a round one. Below about 1.6 metres of table it will look oversized. At 7.6 kg the ceiling fixing needs planning — and note it hangs from a single canopy, so the load is concentrated.
The seven shades do not sit in a straight line — the frame undulates, so the glass hangs at varying heights. Seen along a table that gives rhythm and depth where a straight bar gives a row. It is the reason to choose the Orton over a linear pendant of the same length.
Each of the two frame colours comes with a choice of six glass finishes, and the shades swap:
Twelve variants, one decision each way. Two frames × six glasses. Antique gold with amber is the warmest combination; black with opal is the quietest and the most practical over a table; black with clear prism is the most dramatic.
It is Class I — earth required. Hard-wired on a 2,000 mm adjustable suspension. A licensed electrician installs it, and at 7.6 kg over 1.15 metres, show them the fixing before the day.
Fit dimmable G9s and pair them with a wall dimmer and it dims; plain globes will not — and all seven must be dimmable, or the ones that are not will simply stay at full output. Our record says “No”, which is misleading; the correct answer is globe dependent.
1,150 mm wide, 200 mm high, 120 mm deep, shades 120 mm, suspension 2,000 mm and adjustable, 7.6 kg, in glass and iron, matte. Seven G9 globes at 6 W each — 42 W total, not supplied; dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Seven — G9 at 6 W each, 42 W in total, and none are supplied. Our record lists 6 W, which is the per-globe figure. Budget for seven when you order.
1,150 mm — 1.15 metres. It is a linear fitting made to run along a long dining table or island. Below about 1.6 metres of table it will look oversized, and it is not right over a round table.
It hangs the seven shades at varying heights rather than in a straight line, which gives rhythm and depth along a table where a straight bar gives a row. It is the reason to choose the Orton over a plain linear pendant.
Opal Matt is the practical one over a dining table — fully diffusing, hides the globes, softest and most even. Clear Prism is the most dramatic but shows all seven globes, so buy decorative G9s if you pick it. Amber is the natural partner to the antique gold frame.
Yes — all six glass finishes are interchangeable, so the pendant is not fixed at the point of purchase.
7.6 kg over 1.15 metres, hanging from a single canopy — so the load is concentrated. Show your electrician the fixing before the day of install.
Only with dimmable G9s and a wall dimmer — and all seven must be dimmable, or the ones that are not will stay at full output. Our record says “No”, which is misleading; the correct answer is globe dependent.
