The Oren CTC918 is a 180 mm surface-mounted LED downlight in black or white sand — 24 W giving 2,060 lm, switchable 2700 K / 3000 K / 4000 K, CRI above 92, TRIAC dimmable, IP54.
No cutout. No ceiling void needed. It screws to the ceiling — so it goes where a recessed downlight cannot: concrete ceilings, rendered soffits, shallow voids, rentals, heritage ceilings you must not cut, and under eaves outside.
The largest Oren, and at this output it stops being a downlight in a run and becomes a single ceiling light: a bathroom, a laundry, a hallway, an entry porch, a small bedroom, lit properly from one fitting. On a concrete or shallow ceiling where you cannot install a grid of recessed lights, that is often the only clean answer.
Our table gave “Width 90 mm, Height 180 mm” — which would be a tube hanging 180 mm below the ceiling. It is 180 mm across and 90 mm deep. The 90 mm is identical on all three sizes while the other varies 120 / 150 / 180, exactly matching the model numbers CTC912, CTC915, CTC918. Confirm with us before you order — at this size the difference between 90 and 180 mm across changes how the fitting reads on a ceiling entirely.
Most downlights here record CRI 80; the Oren records above 92, which shows on skin, timber, food and fabric. Note that this largest size is the least efficient of the three — 86 lm/W against the 120 mm's 96 — which is normal: more power in a body that is wider but no deeper runs warmer, and heat costs output.
IP54 — splash-rated, so covered positions outside. Our page said it “fits just about anywhere—indoors or out”. Under an eave, a verandah, a carport or a covered alfresco — yes. An exposed soffit taking horizontal rain — no.
A focused beam from a fitting that sits 90 mm below the ceiling. In a room with a normal ceiling that gives a well-defined pool with a clean edge — good over a shower, a bench or an entry mat, less good if you want an even wash across a whole room. If a wash is what you want, two of the 120 mm will do it better than one of these.
TRIAC dimmable on an ordinary wall dimmer — worth having at 2,060 lm from a single point. It is Class I — earth required, at 0.6 kg.
180 mm diameter, 90 mm deep — our table had these reversed — at 0.6 kg, in aluminium, sand finish. Integrated 24 W COB LED giving 2,060 lm, included, with switchable 2700 K / 3000 K / 4000 K, CRI >92, 36° beam, TRIAC dimmable. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP54 — splash-rated; covered positions, surface-mounted — no cutout required. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Yes — 2,060 lm will do a bathroom, laundry, hallway, entry porch or small bedroom from one fitting. On a concrete or shallow ceiling where a grid of recessed lights is impossible, that is often the only clean answer.

No — surface-mounted, so it works on concrete, rendered soffits, shallow voids, rentals and heritage ceilings, as well as under eaves.
Normal behaviour — 86 lm/W against the 120 mm’s 96. More power in a body that is wider but no deeper runs warmer, and heat costs output.
No — the 36-degree beam gives a defined pool with a clean edge, which is good over a shower, a bench or an entry mat. If you want an even wash, two of the 120 mm will do it better than one of these.
In covered positions. IP54 is protected against splashing, not jets or wind-driven rain — under an eave, verandah or carport, yes; an exposed soffit, no.
Yes — TRIAC, on an ordinary wall dimmer, and worth having at 2,060 lm from a single point.
