The Oren CTC915 is a 150 mm surface-mounted LED downlight in black or white sand — 18 W giving 1,680 lm, switchable 2700 K / 3000 K / 4000 K, CRI above 92, TRIAC dimmable, IP54.
No cutout. No ceiling void needed. It screws to the ceiling rather than dropping through a hole — so it goes where a recessed downlight cannot: concrete ceilings, rendered soffits, shallow voids, rentals, heritage ceilings you must not cut, and under eaves outside.
1,680 lumens from a 150 mm body. That is enough to be a primary ceiling light in a bathroom, a laundry, a small bedroom or a porch on its own, where the 120 mm version is better in a run. It is the most useful of the three for that reason: bright enough to work alone, small enough not to dominate.
Our table gave “Width 90 mm, Height 150 mm”. It is 150 mm across and 90 mm deep. The 90 mm is identical on all three Oren sizes while the other varies 120 / 150 / 180 — and a range of round downlights varies by diameter, not by how far it hangs down. The model numbers agree: CTC912, CTC915, CTC918. Confirm with us before setting out a ceiling grid.
Most downlights here record CRI 80. The Oren records above 92, and that shows on skin, timber, food and fabric — at 80, reds go slightly grey and timber flattens. At 93 lumens per watt while holding CRI 92, it gives up almost nothing to get there.
IP54 — splash-rated, so covered positions outside. Our page said it “fits just about anywhere—indoors or out”. Under an eave, a verandah, a carport or a covered alfresco — yes. An exposed soffit taking horizontal rain — no.
A focused beam, giving a defined pool rather than a wash. Space these closer together than a wide-beam downlight, and remember that a focused beam from a 150 mm fitting mounted on the surface sits 90 mm lower than a recessed one — which slightly widens the pool at floor level.
TRIAC dimmable on an ordinary wall dimmer, and Class I — earth required, at 0.53 kg.
150 mm diameter, 90 mm deep — our table had these reversed — at 0.53 kg, in aluminium, sand finish. Integrated 18 W COB LED giving 1,680 lm, included, with switchable 2700 K / 3000 K / 4000 K, CRI >92, 36° beam, TRIAC dimmable. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP54 — splash-rated; covered positions, surface-mounted — no cutout required. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.

This one, for most jobs. At 1,680 lm it is bright enough to be the primary ceiling light in a bathroom, laundry, small bedroom or porch on its own, where the 120 mm is better in a run and the 180 mm is a bigger object on the ceiling.
No — it is surface-mounted, so it works on concrete ceilings, rendered soffits, shallow voids, rentals and heritage ceilings you must not cut, as well as under eaves outside.
150 mm across and 90 mm deep. Our table had those reversed — the 90 mm is identical on all three Oren sizes while the other varies 120/150/180, and the model numbers CTC912/915/918 carry the same figures. Confirm with us before setting out a grid.
In covered positions. IP54 is protected against splashing, not jets or wind-driven rain — under an eave, verandah or carport, yes; an exposed soffit, no.
Over a bathroom mirror or a kitchen bench, yes. At CRI 80 reds go slightly grey and timber flattens; at 92 they do not — and at 93 lm/W this fitting gives up almost nothing to get there.
Yes — TRIAC, on an ordinary wall dimmer.
Slightly. The fitting sits 90 mm lower than a recessed one, which widens the pool a little at floor level. With a 36-degree beam that is worth allowing for in the spacing.
