The Orah is a large round pendant made from walnut timber on an aluminium chassis, sold in two sizes: HV6092T at 600mm drawing 40W, and HV6094T at 800mm drawing 60W.
Timber is the reason to choose it. A walnut ring at this scale reads as a piece of furniture suspended over a table rather than as a light fitting, and because the grain differs on every unit no two are identical. It ages the way timber ages — the colour deepens, and it does so unevenly if one side sees more sun than the other.
HV6092T at 600mm suits a round table, a small island or a stairwell void. HV6094T at 800mm is a serious object — it belongs over a long dining table or a large island, and in a room with a standard ceiling it will dominate anything it is hung above.
Scale a pendant to the surface below it rather than to the room. A 600mm ring over a small table looks generous; the same ring over a two-metre island looks like it was left over from another project.
The 600mm version is rated at 3200lm, 3300lm and 3400lm across its three colour settings; the 800mm version at 4800lm, 5000lm and 4900lm. Both are tri-colour, with 3000K, 4000K or 5500K selected at installation rather than fixed at manufacture, and colour rendering above 80 CRI.
On walnut, 3000K is almost always the right setting. Cool white light greys the timber and works against the material — the same fitting can look expensive at 3000K and cheap at 5500K, which is a rare case of the colour setting mattering to how the fitting itself looks rather than only to the room.
The Orah is dimmable. It runs on 240V AC mains with no driver required, is a Class 1 fitting requiring an earth, and is rated IP20 and IK05 — a dry-interior fitting only.
Both sizes are substantial, so the ceiling fixing is not a detail to leave to the day of installation. Confirm what the pendant is being fixed to, and set the drop height with the table in place rather than from a drawing. Installation is work for a licensed electrician.
Keep it out of sustained direct sunlight, which lightens walnut unevenly over time, and expect the colour to deepen in the first year or two. That is the material behaving normally rather than a fault. Rated lamp expectancy is >30,000 hrs and the LED is built in, so there is no globe to buy or replace.
600mm at 40W (HV6092T) and 800mm at 60W (HV6094T).
Yes — walnut timber on an aluminium chassis, so grain varies between individual fittings.
Yes.
3000K. Cooler settings grey the timber and work against the material.
No. It is rated IP20, and timber is the wrong material for a wet area.
