Three published figures and the third is the one that catches people. The cut-out is Ø63 mm without a canister and Ø87 mm with a canister, and Havit specifies 125 mm of installation depth behind the face. On a masonry or rendered wall that depth has to be planned before anything is rendered. The canister has to finish level with the wall — Havit voids the warranty if it does not — so set it in first and work to the canister you actually have in hand.

No, not this model. It is a 12 V DC fitting and it must run from a suitable 12 V DC LED driver; Havit's instructions say it in capitals: "DO NOT CONNECT LIGHT FITTING DIRECTLY TO 240V". Supply has to stay within ±5% of the rated voltage or the warranty is void, and fittings wire in parallel. It is Protection Class 3, low voltage, and needs no earth. If mains is what you want, Havit makes the same fitting as HV19032T, a mains-voltage GU10 version — and that one does require an earth. A licensed electrician has to do either.

On the globe, and you can change your mind later. Twist the cover off anti-clockwise, set it and the glass aside, pull the globe out, and move the switch on the side of the globe to 3000 K, 4000 K or 5500 K. Reinsert the globe, refit the glass and cover clockwise, and check the seals are seated and the cover is tight. It arrives preset to 3000 K. Because the switch is on a removable globe rather than in the wiring, nothing is permanent — you can walk a finished run of steps and adjust individual fittings.

Yes, four of the six will, and Havit says so. Solid copper and solid brass are bare metal and "will naturally tarnish" outdoors. Antique brass and graphite are coated brass and Havit warns they "may tarnish through the coating" outdoors, which is the less obvious risk because the coating implies permanence. Black and 316 stainless are the two that hold their appearance, and they are also the lower-priced pair. All six share the same 316 stainless body, so this is purely a question of finish, not of durability. Havit asks for gloves on the bare metal: its current instruction sheet says "When installing Brass fittings, gloves must be worn to avoid any oils transferring to fitting", and its earlier sheet for this fitting gave the same condition for copper — so glove all four metal faces rather than working out which sheet governs yours.

Not as supplied. Havit's specification is precise about the reason: "Dimmable No - Not with supplied globes". The limit is the tri-colour globe in the box, not the fitting or its wiring. Havit does not publish a dimmable globe for this holder, and we are not going to invent one — so if dimming matters, treat it as an open question to resolve against a specific globe and driver rather than something this page can promise.

Not in the ground. Havit's installation type for this fitting is "Wall - Recessed" and it publishes no inground rating for it. Havit builds a step-or-inground version as a separate model, HV19022T, which is the one to use if it has to go into paving. On the coast, here is exactly what is published: the salt-water rule in these instructions reads "Aluminium and 304SS fittings must not be installed within 5km of any salt water environments" — and this fitting is neither, its body being 316 stainless steel. So that clause does not name it and we have not applied it. Havit publishes no coastal approval for the model either, so we are not claiming one. What does apply is the maintenance condition: all 316 stainless fittings need regular cleaning, and "Warranty does not cover Tea Staining".

Three, all of which we stock. The HV190-HC honeycomb lens drops in on the inside of the glass and is what Havit points to "to achieve Anti Glare" — the cheapest useful addition here. The HV9507 tri-colour 3/5/7 W MR16 globe is the alternative lamp for this fitting, and note it is a 60° beam against the supplied globe's 120°, so it is also how you narrow the beam. ⚠ Make sure it is the HV9507 and not its higher-voltage sibling — that one is built for a different supply and does not belong on this fitting. And the HV9971 stainless maintenance kit is the one Havit names for keeping a 316 stainless face from tea staining — for the HV19012T-SS316 face specifically, Havit publishes a routine every 6 months, or more often in coastal environments, to preserve appearance and warranty. That cadence is published against the bare stainless face, so treat it as belonging to that one of the six rather than to the black or coated-brass faces.
