ODIN EXTERIOR WALL LIGHT

The Odin is a 360 mm exterior wall light — a vintage-style lantern in modern polycarbonate — taking one E27 globe, rated IP44, in black.

A vintage form in a modern material

That is the whole idea. The Odin has the proportions of a traditional coach lantern — tall, tapered, glazed — but it is made from polycarbonate rather than cast metal. So you get the look on a period or country facade with none of the rust, none of the weight and none of the repainting. On a coastal wall, where a real metal lantern bleeds at the fixings within a few seasons, that trade is worth making.

Light enough to hang anywhere

Polycarbonate at this size means it goes onto an ordinary wall box without special fixing — and onto render, fibre cement or weatherboard that would not happily carry a cast lantern of the same size.

Double insulated

Class II — no earth required, which outdoors means fewer connections to make and fewer to corrode.

One E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied

An ordinary replaceable globe, so you choose the brightness and colour temperature and can change them later. In a lantern with visible glazing, a warm globe is what makes it read as traditional rather than clinical.

Generously sized

180 mm wide, 360 mm tall, 100 mm projection. A proper lantern rather than a token one — and the shallow projection means it does not intrude on a walkway despite the height.
