A large round ceiling oyster, Ø610mm and 80mm deep, in a walnut-coloured finish. At 50W it is a primary light source: hung in a living room, a large bedroom or an open-plan space it does the room's lighting on its own rather than supplementing downlights.
The finish is what this fitting is bought for. A 610mm disc is a substantial object on a ceiling, and a warm timber-toned one reads very differently from the white or metal discs that dominate the category. Against a white ceiling it becomes a deliberate feature; against timber-lined ceilings and warm interiors it settles in.
The fitting draws 50W and is tri-colour, with the colour temperature selected at installation rather than fixed at manufacture: 3000K, 4000K or 5500K, rated at 4500lm, 4700lm and 4600lm respectively. Colour rendering is above 80 CRI and the beam is 120°.
At 4500lm and above, this is enough light for a large room from a single fitting. Given the warm finish, 3000K is usually the setting that suits it — a cool white behind a timber-toned rim tends to fight the fitting rather than work with it.
The Noyer is dimmable, which at this output is not a luxury. A 4500lm oyster at full output is a working light; the same fitting at a third is a living-room light. Have your electrician confirm the dimmer type suits the fitting.
It runs on 240V mains and requires no driver. It is a Class 1 fitting and requires an earth connection, so installation is work for a licensed electrician.
It is rated IP20 and IK05 — a dry-interior fitting with no water protection, so not for a bathroom wet zone or any covered outdoor area. At Ø610mm the ceiling fixing deserves attention: fix into structure rather than plasterboard alone, and check the fitting's position against the room's centre lines before drilling, because a large disc slightly off-centre is obvious from every doorway.
Rated lamp expectancy is >30,000 hrs and the LED is built in, so there is no globe to buy or replace.
